Geometric Tiered Mini Skater Skirt

Had previously seen this skirt online and liked the colour and style. The modern retro fabric pattern is a great way to brighten up black tops and leather jackets. At 5’7” I’m not exceptionally tall but find a lot of skirts too short, even described at maxi length. This skirt was a great length and fit. It has quite a wide elasticated waistband that looks a little old fashioned and unsightly so not a perfect skirt to tuck a tshirt in. I wore a wide belt to cover the waistband. I was also expecting a lightweight fabric as it seemed the perfect summer skirt on sale at this time of year. It is actually quite heavy manmade fabric and partially lined. I will wear throughout autumn too. As a style it works for me and the length is ideal. I’m glad I bought in the sale as I would have been disappointed at full price for viscose with stretchy waistband, and probably would have returned as did not feel it worth full sale price in that type of fabric, but at sale price I am happy and will instead wear with heavier clothes as the temperature drops.

This is just what I wanted, almost a maxi on my 5’2 frame. Saw it before the sale and I thought it was very expensive, so was delighted to see it in the sale . Lovely material and hangs well. Really pleased.

I ordered this skirt in sizes 10 and 12. I kept the 10 which is a perfect fit. I am 5'6" tall and the skirt falls to just below the ankle on me. I can wear it with flats and it does not drag on the ground. I like the fact that it is lined to the knee. When worn it is lovely and swishy. The fabric is soft and silky to the touch. The colour combination allows for a number of coloured tops. I have worn with black fitted tee from M&S as well as a white linen cropped blouse. The fabric does not appear to crease much, so could be ideal for holiday wear. I thought the original price was a bit steep but the sale price makes for an amazing bargain. M&S: Its a maxi not a mini!

The material of this skirt was truly appalling. Thankfully I didn’t pay full price for it but even so I still returned it. How is this Autograph quality? Very disappointed as it could have been a lovely skirt.

A bit too long but I love this skirt so I shortened it by about 2 inches (I'm 5'3) and I think its more flattering to show ankles in a maxi skirt - despite the ad saying its a mini skirt. Plus I don't wish my skirt to get grubby the minute I wear it by sweeping the ground where I walk. I love it and can't wait to wear it - a great fit too - well done M&S.

Very pretty, easy to wear. Comes up long but I like that. My only gripe is the slightly shiny material, so I am undecided whether to keep this skirt, as it was quite expensive for what it is.
