A distinctly nutty and apple blossom scented dry un-oaked white wine with an extraordinarily rich taste of blanched almond lifted by succulent tangy lemon flavours and a satisfying savoury dry finish.

This unusual wine comes from deep in Andalucía, southern Spain. Here the sun fully ripens Pedro Ximenez grapes to perfection. Juan Márquez Cellar Master of Perez Barquero showed M&S winemaker Sue Daniels how he crafts this wine style made in large traditional earthenware jars or Tinaja (tin-Yak-ah). Vino de Tinaja is the new vintage wine from these vessels, where the fine yeast ‘flor’ that grows on top of the wine imparts a little nuttiness to enrich this vibrant floral fruit laden wine.
