A surprise light fruity wine
Yes, I recommend this
This wine surprised me as I had previously heard not brilliant things. I do feel the label is slightly wrong when described as medium bodied as it does seem very light in colour and depth. However, the light weight to it makes it very drinkable and you do get minor sharpness from the cranberry flavours if you take a couple of small sips in a row. Overall quite a decent wine and worth £6-£8 so a decent but when on offer.

a disappointing Sicilian red
No, I don't recommend this
Frappato is a medium-weight grape but at £7.99, I expected the fruit to have some richness. Can't understand why the buyer didn't insist that it was blended with Nero d'Avolo to add some body. Very thin & weedy, no "lingering finish" and not what Sicily does best.. If I had paid £4, I would still have been disappointed.
