Sizing an issue for me

I’m normally a comfortable size 18 sometimes a 16, but I found the top half of this dress very small in an 18. The sleeves were short and tight and I couldn’t button it up across my bust. The bottom half was fine, perhaps even a little loose.

Delighted to find this for less than £10 in the sale. Will be a great one for work as a teacher, very slimming and comfy to wear. Nice cotton feel fabric. I'm not keen on the two front splits though and will sew them up. It's a classic style and print so should last for a few years. Is quite long so I think better on a taller person or may need taking up.

This was such an amazing price on sale I ordered it but really could not see me in it as the pattern looked busy. I was so surprised, it is beautiful and really suited me plus fit perfectly. The material is soft and comfortable and just whispers as you walk. I love it and smart so pleased I bought it. Great buy!

Liked the colours and the style as I’ve got a similar one in yellow and black from last year. If buttons gape I’ll just slip stitch them closed as can get over head with one button undone and zip makes it easy

Bought black dress in sale for less than £10. Shame no green ones were left as the colour looked lovely online. Fitted very well, soft fabric. It suits having the top button done and the collar does not fall well with a button or two open.

Lovely dress and great value in the sale but unfortunately was too tight across the chest. I never usually have a problem with size 12 but this was more like a size 10. Didn’t want to size up as would have been too large on hips. A real shame as it hung well with a nice swish to it and would have been a versatile addition to my wardrobe.

I was ready to not like this as it’s not my usual style. I ordered it because I loved the botanical print. However it is a great cut with a flattering empire-line, panelled skirt and stylish long cuffs. The fabric feels soft, thick and expensive. And the pattern is classy and spring-like. I love it. The only downside is it gapes slightly at the bust but I am used to that being more than averagely endowed. A judicious safety pin on the inside fixes that.
