If you're already an experienced pie baker, I expect this review will give you a giggle re my ignorance. Please skip past. For anyone else as clumsy with pastry as I am, read on! I like to make steak pie from time to time, but have always found the pastry 'falls in' on the meat, and gets very soggy. Thankfully, I remembered that my mother used an old enamel dish like this one, and her pastry was fine; so I bought this dish and tried again. What a difference! The pastry sticks onto the lip of the dish (if well-pressed on) and doesn't collapse onto the meat. At last, lovely crisp pastry and juicy meat. Hubby and I are well pleased!

Great quality and colour. Love the terracotta/warm brown edging. Perfect size and will get lots of use. Bought everything in the range as love so much. Good value for money and looks good enough to use as serving dishes straight from the oven.
