Fragrance is a con, soothing.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream is actually a petrolatum-rich skin protectant. It looks like an orange gelee and it smells medicinal. I have very sensitive skin that reacts to most things, so I thought with the menthol smell it would definitely cause my skin to redden, but it seemed to slightly soothe it and reviewers with average skin types say it is very soothing and healing. It can also be used to shape brows and moisturize cuticles.

Not What I Expected , Too Oily and Strong Smelling
Originally posted on influenster.com
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had high hopes for this product, but it didn’t meet my expectations. I was expecting a cream based formula, but it’s actually more of an ointment similar in texture to Vaseline. The scent was quite strong right out of the tube, and while others describe it as citrusy, I personally found it more reminiscent of insect repellent, which was off putting. The formula is very oily, so it took some effort to really rub it in and get it to absorb, which was more time consuming than I’d like. That said, once it finally settled into the skin, it did feel nice and moisturizing. I can see why some people swear by it, but unfortunately, it just didn’t work for me

Works great, weird scent
Originally posted on influenster.com
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this from Influenster to try and review. I used it on my face first and while it was very moisturizing it surprisingly did not leave my skin greasy. It stayed soft for hours. So I tried it on my hands, I have horrible knuckles that are dry and crack in the winter. This worked great. I used it on my hands and arms. It's very effective. The only reason for 4 stars is the scent. It has a very odd off putting scent to it.

I love how easy on the skin and light it feels
Originally posted on influenster.com
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Elizabeth Arden 8 hour skin protectant is amazingly what every woman needs. The scent is like floral and lite so it’s easy on the skin. The ingredients are all from natural plants so no harmful chemicals.

Not for me…
Originally posted on influenster.com
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was very much looking forward to trying Elizabeth Arden’s Eight Hour Cream Skin Protectant. However, I ended up being disappointed. Don’t get me wrong, my skin feels soft even hours after applying the cream. It looks and smells awful. The downside is that the place I need a skin protectant most is on my face but I can’t stand having that smell linger. If EA could find a way to enhance the scent, I would absolutely buy it!!

24 hour lotion
Originally posted on influenster.com
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the texture and the effect on your skin but I just don’t like the smell maybe the ingredients aren’t good because it’s very strong I was expecting a reaction smell like roses or something flowers like but overall when I’m applying, I immediately wanna wash it off because of the smell, but I like the packaging like I said, I thought it was gonna smell at least decent enough to wear, but I like the way the moisture stays on your skin upon opening the package. The walls were seeping out of the pack.

This cream is SO silky!!
Originally posted on influenster.com
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This cream is a game changer in my opinion! It has the softest, silkiest & creamiest texture & yet is so rich!! The scent didn’t bother me, I didn’t really notice one & as far as the effectiveness? It leaves your face with such hydration & suppleness! I will also never be without this Elizabeth Arden product!! I will purchase again & again! 10/10 recommend!

Great multipurpose skin cream

It can also be used to shape brows, revitalize shine, and smooth cuticles and nails. 💅 #ElizabethArden #influenster #complimentary

Over hyped ointment
Originally posted on influenster.com
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] In my opinion this is a glorified vitamin d ointment. Feels awful applying to the face and doesn’t smell great. That being said I’m sure if you had chapped cheeks or something it would be very helpful. In the meantime I’m using it as a foot ointment and putting on socks to lock it in. Definitely making my feet softer but I’m sure Vaseline would as well. Not worth the price to me.

All In One Cream
Originally posted on influenster.com
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this multi purpose cream. It is more of a gel which is interesting, but it works like a charm. It works on your face or body and does not cause any breakouts. There is no scent which I love.

Overhyped and Unbearable
Originally posted on influenster.com
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really wanted to like the Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream because of all the hype, but it was a huge disappointment. The smell is overpowering and honestly pretty gross — way too medicinal and heavy. The texture is even worse: insanely sticky, thick, and uncomfortable on the skin. It didn’t absorb at all and just sat there feeling greasy and suffocating. I couldn’t wait to wash it off. Definitely not worth the hype for me — I found it almost unusable.

A very thick balm
Originally posted on influenster.com
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is called Right Hour Skin protectant. Originally, I thought this was a balm, that can be used for overnight moisture, for any type of the body. I have been using this on my hands, and it is hard to be absorbed by the skin. It leaves a natural oil finish, and it has a citrus scent, left on the skin. I recommend this on the external parts of the body, but not the face. I like the fact that the scent lasts a really long time on the external side of the skin. I would use this at night only, because during the day, I tend to wash my hands a lot and it can get slippery, when used during the day time.

Strong scent
Originally posted on influenster.com
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This skin protectant is very helpful if you use it at night on your face. The smell is very strong and is not pleasant. However, it really does provide moisture for your face and hands! I recommend using it under your eyes at night to get the perfect amount of moisture. Even using it on your cuticles will keep them moisturized for hours.

Good
Originally posted on influenster.com
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve been using using Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream Skin Protectant for about a month now. I apply it to the areas that I find to be the most dry for me, elbows, hands and dry spots on my face!! It also works well on sunburns. It goes on smoothly leaving my skin soft and hydrated. It does have a smell to it that I’m not really fond of so I did dock a star for it.
