Eight hour® cream is the legendary, award-winning skin protectant that does more than soothe sun-burned skin, rehydrate chapped lips, and heal rough elbows and calluses. It’s also the secret that makeup artists all over the world use for keeping legs, lips and eyelids shiny; eyebrows in place; and cuticles perfectly manicured. There are an infinite number of ways to use this classic cream. The legend created in 1930 by Elizabeth Arden herself to soothe skin, eight hours® cream skin protectant became an instant and overwhelming success. What made it so effective? A combination of petrolatum, a skin-soothing beta-hydroxy -- debuting in one of its first cosmetic uses -- and vitamin e. The apricot-colored balm was so beneficial to her clients that miss arden even used it to soothe her famous thoroughbred horses' legs. Even its name came about thanks to a remarkable performance – a loyal client used it to treat her child's skinned knee and "eight hours" later, the skin was all better.

How to Use: 8 ways to use eight hour apply head-to-toe to seal in moisture and experience hours of hydrated, healthy-looking skin with each use

At face value: simply rub a dime-sized amount in the palms of hands to warm through, then pat onto the face to seal in moisture

Comes in handy: deep condition by working the formula into palms and over the fingers, then wrapping each hand for 10 minutes in a warm towel

Unless they’ve changed the scent, this stuff smells terrible. Yes, it’s very moisturizing, but the smell is intolerable.

Used this on my babies chapped cheeks during the winter. Worked better than any prescription. Kept using it as they grew whenever we were in a dry or cold environment. Now using it on my grandchild. I still use it on my dry feet & elbows. Nothing else like it. I also used the 8 hour lip balm on the entire family. Gave lots of tubes away as gifts.

When you changed the formula from rose scented to some sort of chemical/petroleum scent, you lost a customer. Bring back the delicate rose scent and I'm in.

I have been using the 8 hour Elizabeth Arden cream for years and let's say I can live without it. Leaves the lips moisturised, great on dry skin especially during the winter months and good on minor cuts . Worth buying

I use this on days after a really long swim where my skin feels really dry or for my tattoos. If you don’t like really thick lotions then this isn’t for you. Does feel slightly sticky for a little while after you put it on. Since it is lightly scented you could use it for post tattoo as well put I’d look for a non scented option first.

At first, I was concerned that it will be oily, but my skin was craving the moisture and it soaked right in. I have a problem with dry cuticles and since applying this cream for a week, my cuticles have been healthy and moisturize and not cracked. I keep this in my purse because I needed it at all times.

I’ve used this cream for several years now. It keeps my skin hydrated and soft. I recommend using it if your skin tends to be on the dry side. In the North East, we have weather that dries the skin on a regular basis. Eight Hour Cream Protectant is your companion for moist, healthy skin.

The only con is that I hate the smell of it lol. But the texture is thick and a little greasy, BUT- I like that. I sometimes just use it as a base for my makeup. I'd recommend 10/10.
