Product code: T233655F
This lightly scented, skincare classic, calms, protects and hydrates skin for up to eight hours.
Eight hour® cream is the legendary, award-winning skin protectant that does more than soothe sun-burned skin, rehydrate chapped lips, and heal rough elbows and calluses. It’s also the secret that makeup artists all over the world use for keeping legs, lips and eyelids shiny; eyebrows in place; and cuticles perfectly manicured. There are an infinite number of ways to use this classic cream. The legend created in 1930 by Elizabeth Arden herself to soothe skin, eight hours® cream skin protectant became an instant and overwhelming success. What made it so effective? A combination of petrolatum, a skin-soothing beta-hydroxy -- debuting in one of its first cosmetic uses -- and vitamin e. The apricot-colored balm was so beneficial to her clients that miss arden even used it to soothe her famous thoroughbred horses' legs. Even its name came about thanks to a remarkable performance – a loyal client used it to treat her child's skinned knee and "eight hours" later, the skin was all better.

Reliable moisture

Dry Skin Helper
Originally posted on influenster.com
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] If you have dry skin, this is for you. I have used this on my face and hands and it effectively aids in healing dry skin. The texture is very much a thick gel like consistency. A little goes a long way and too much can be very greasy. It lasts all day or night. I prefer to use this at night in a very thin layer in dry spots and all over the face when needed underneath skincare. Overall, this is a great option for dry skin and it does exactly what it claims to do, but the texture can be greasy if you use a lot.

Very Hydrating
Originally posted on influenster.com
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This cream works really well and is very moisturizing. I’ve been using this on my hands during the winter and it’s been working out great. You don’t have to keep applying, the skin stays moisturized, soft, and glistening. It’s a gel type consistency that spreads on a little thick and stays on for a long time. I’m not a fan of the smell, it doesn’t bother me too much though because it’s lightly scented.

No more cheese grater hands!
Originally posted on influenster.com
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been using Elizabeth Arden’s Eight Hour Cream for the past few weeks. The weather here has been extremely cold so my hands have been cracking and dry a lot. This product definitely makes a difference especially compared to my regular lotions that I normally use. It makes my hands a bit shiny, but thankfully there is no greasy feeling. The cream comes in a cute small bottle that stands up nicely. The only reason why I gave it 4 stars is that I unfortunately don’t like the light scent of it. But if it means I can have smooth hands in the winter, it’s definitely worth it!

Bye Bye Dry Skin
Originally posted on influenster.com
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was very excited to receive this campaign because the winter cold front we got in FL has been taking a toll on my hands. It’s is a predominantly petroleum based product. I haven’t experienced any skin irritation with use so that’s a win! Pros - thick gel like consistency - easy squeeze tube - good size product (convenient to toss in your bag) Cons - a bit greasy after application - the scent, it says lightly scented but to me it’s not the best smell. Pro Tip - mix a drop of this with your preferred scented hand cream to maximize the moisture properties

Sticky for the face
Originally posted on influenster.com
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a nice skin protectant; however it is a bit sticky to use on my face. I use it on my hands at night. I would generally prefer other, more popular alternatives for my face.

Not for me.
Originally posted on influenster.com
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Ehhh I really don’t like the smell of this product! It’s not too strong or anything but it definitely has a strange smell to it that is not palatable for me. The consistency is very much like an ointment with a greasy texture when applied. I don’t feel like it soaks into the skin quickly, but that is ok as I am trying to help soothe my raging cuticles. I feel like overall the performance delivers what it says with moisture, but I just don’t need to look like a greasy mess while it does it.

Love that this product is so versatile!
Originally posted on influenster.com
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was so pleasantly surprised by this product. I was a bit worried at first that the scent would be too strong but it wasn’t at all. It was a light, lovely scent that didn’t bother me even with it on my face/lips. I was excited to try a new product for my lips. I have very dry lips that are constantly peeling. I have tried lip butters, overnight masks, exfoliators, you name it, and nothing keeps it hydrated long enough to look supple. This was the trick! I’ve posted a before and after photo - my lips at the end of the day before applying, and then my lips the next morning after using this product on the all night. They are much more hydrated and soft! I still felt the product on my lips in the morning after a night of sleep. I also love that I can use it on my cracked hands, my dry heels, etc. it’s an all purpose product which is so helpful.

Reliable hand cream.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This s a nice size for on the go. Perfect to throw in a purse or car. It’s multi-purpose too. I didn’t notice a scent at all, and the texture was kind of reminiscent of Vaseline. It’s clear. It does keep my hand moisturized a little longer than the normal hand cream. I tried this on my hands and arms and dry spots on my face. I like the skin protectant, I’d consider purchasing this again but I think I’ll have it for a while. A little goes a long way.

Good but not for the price
Originally posted on influenster.com
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Im not sure why I expected this to be more like a lotion. Instead from my pictures, you can tell the product is more like vasoline. I use it for my heals and nails in the winter, but for the price you might as well get vasoline. It's moisturizing but it also feels like the tube is half empty.

Super moisturizing deep hydration cream vaseline l
Originally posted on influenster.com
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This cream has a very thick texture vaseline, which helps smooth my dry, flaky hands & dry cracked lip. It absorbs fast, and my lips are so smooth the next morning when I leave it on overnight. It's like a mask for my lips and deep hydration for my dry hands. Great product & packaging! I received these products from Influenster for free in exchange for my review!

Hydrating!
Originally posted on influenster.com
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This skin protectant is hydrating and really soaks into your skin. The texture is like a balm and is really helpful with dry hands. I wish it was a little less greasy, but I do find it to be super effective.

Great multi use balm
Originally posted on influenster.com
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have really been enjoying this skin protectant. I have put it on my face before going outside with this intense cold weather and wind. It helps keep my skin from getting dry and flaky. I also now keep this in my purse to use on my hands, face, or lips when out and about. It's a nice multi use product with a soft smell. It absorbs quickly into my skin and has a thick smooth texture. The packaging is cute and simple so it looks expensive. I would repurchase this as it really has been helping my skin and a multi use product is a must have for my purse/bag.

Helps with Numerous Ailments

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was my first time trying Elizabeth Arden’s 8-Hour Cream and I get the hype now!! This is a multi-functional cream in a tube, and I used it for a ton of different ailments. I loved keeping this by my bedside to put on my cracked lips before bed and would wake up with soft lips! Another huge, huge use for this was cracked knuckles. Living in the Midwest, I did not know how fast my knuckles would get dry and crack.. my goodness. This has been a life saver to keep in my purse and apply it on extra windy, dry days. It’s portable enough to keep in your purse, and you only need to use a little bit!! It is lightly sweet scented too, and will compliment any fragrance you have on for the day. Doesn’t hurt the packaging it beautiful too!!

Emergency use only

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I truly just don’t understand this product. It’s 57% petroleum. It’s marketed as a do it all cream. My skin cannot handle slathering petroleum all over without clogged pores and breakouts. It’s a nice overnight lip mask when your lips are struggling during the winter months. It’s also very nourishing for dry cuticles. I would suggest only using this on VERY dry patches of skin and not to use all over or daily. The scent is light and classic. Not bothersome at all. The price is very high for the product.

Rotten smell
Originally posted on influenster.com
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The fact that this scent was professionally chosen and passed through several tests before coming to market is WILD. Lightly scented with what? This product smells like rotten cocoa butter. Heavy on the rotten. I have to mix it with another scented lotion to cover the scent. The product itself performs lovely. Super emolient. Great for putting on dry winter hands at night. But wow wow get the unscented version.

A little stronger than “Lightly Scented”
Originally posted on influenster.com
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received the Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream Skin Protectant Lightly Scented complimentary in exchange for my honest review and opinion. To say that I was excited to receive an Elizabeth Arden product, would be an understatement. I had been hopeful that I would like it, but unfortunately, it was a miss for me. I’m very sensitive to smell, and while it usually doesn’t bother me, I couldn’t get past the floral scent of this. Moreover, while it was nourishing, it was greasy and never really felt fully absorbed by my skin. I don’t blame the cream, but feel like it might be a one-off for me due to my own preferences. It was a very slick texture and easy to rub in, so that was appreciated. It is a great size tube and a little really does go a long way, truly adding to its value. Overall, I didn’t hate it but I didn’t love it either. That said, still keeping an open mind and would suggest it to those that are experiencing extreme dryness or cracking.

Great cream
Originally posted on influenster.com
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this cream courtesy of Influenster and Estée Lauder in exchange for my honest review. I will start with how I absolutely love the packaging. Additionally, the frosted red cap has an expensive feel to it. Now for the cream itself: I have been using this for the past few days and have clearly seen an improvement in my skin. It feels really soft and supple after application and stays that way for hours. The chapped rough skin improves in only a few days time. I intend to use it on my feet next and see how it heals. The cream feels more like a gel that’s thick at first but glides on smoothly and absorb really well on my skin. I took away one star because the smell, although light, is really bad and I can never get myself to put it on my face even if I wanted to.

Great for dry hands, chap lips, and so much more!
Originally posted on influenster.com
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This eight hour cream, skin protector will be a great addition to my winter skin care routine! I used this on one of the coldest days of the year. It completely moisturized my hands, very minimal greasy residue. I'm not the greatest shaping my brows, but I also used it for that and it seemed to work great! This would also be great to use for chap lips and cuticles. I do think I will be savoring this cream for chopped lips for sure! The scent is extremely minimal. I can barely smell anything. I would definitely recommend this product, especially during the winter or colder seasons. I do love a cream that is versatile! I would definitely recommend this product.
