I decided to get the Herschel Classic XL Backpack and it fits the Herschel Heritage Lunch Box and my three 32 oz water bottles I bring to work each day. It also holds my laptop and any additional items I bring!

I miss the top pocket for my phone, I miss the 2 pockets in the front. There is no key ring anymore. I miss these items in the new design. Also the classic red and white stripes are no where to be found!

Old vs new classic backpack. They got rid of the second cup holder, the zipper pulls are no longer matching in color and the top strap is nylon instead of canvas. Those were some of my favorite design features. I’m still not sure if I will keep it.

Bought this to replace a bag that’s been in use for five years. This new bag fabric and apparent construction is not as nice as the old bag. The “lap top” pocket of the old bad is padded and well formed. This is gust an extra thin layer of fabric to create the extra pocket, Like every other basic bag out there. Also, I don’t see how it’s an XL size. It’s just average book bag size.

Like the styling (print/profile) and features (padding, pockets), but ending up keeping a slightly simpler and cheaper Hershel Bag which seemed like a better value to me.
