Plush, pretty and pink!

The pink one is a lovely color and I really like the plush, luxurious feel of the velvet. The length was a few inches below the knee on my 5ft 3in. I've got quite an accentuated hourglass figure, so found a smaller size than normal was most flattering, emphasising my waist and skimming over the hips! More colors please, M&S, this is a lovely skirt.

I loved this skirt, but for the larger lady, it's a definite no, no! I'd forgotten how pleats make you look even bigger! So, I returned it yesterday, pity they don't use the same material for a pencil skirt, pretty colour too.

Lovely pink velvet skirt, which has a lighter sheen at the pleat. A soft, good quality velvet, which doesn't crease. Very comfortable due to the elasticated waist. I also bought the oyster colour, which is a lovely neutral that will go with anything. Really pleased with my purchases.

I'm a petite 5' 3" and I found the skirt to be a little long on the leg (about 3 inches below knee.) Luckily doesn't look remotely frumpy when worn with plimsolls, it's a really elegant skirt. Both colours are lovely - the pink is very much a bubblegum shade as per the photo. An absolute steal at this price - you'd pay more anywhere else and it's a bargain taking in it's quality, it's very well finished and the fabric is so soft, and durability (pleated skirts rarely go out of style and it can be dressed up or down.) M&S, this is really rather brilliant!

I rarely write reviews but this skirt is such a wonder I felt compelled to let the world know. The picture doesn't do it half justice, it caught my sight as I was passing through the store - ended up buying both colours! The pink is the sweetest, girly shade perfect for spring and the oyster is a toned down, almost elegant affair with a playful edge. I love them, I've tried them on again at home with various tops and they look fantastic every time. This is M&S being relevant and at its best. Not too pricey either. Thank you!
