Crepe Zip Front Midi Waisted Dress

I bought this on my Mums behalf. The colour is lovely and exactly what you see in the picture. The fabric, although crushable does hang well and skims the body nicely. She particularly liked the zip front to help her get it on and to adjust the look at the front.

I absolutely love this dress. I’m a size 20 and it’s incredibly flattering on – it skims over everything beautifully and gives a really lovely shape without clinging. The fit-and-flare cut works so well while still feeling comfortable. I wasn’t sure how I’d feel about the zip fastening at the neckline, but I actually really like it. It gives you the option of a bit more coverage and adds a slightly modern touch to what is otherwise a very classic style. The long sleeves and midi length make it feel elegant and versatile – perfect for work, more formal occasions, or even dressed down a little. I also really appreciate that there’s no elasticated waist anywhere as it means the dress is a much more flattering fit. Despite the fabric being fairly thin, it hangs nicely and moves well when walking. Overall, a classic black dress that feels sophisticated and easy to wear – I know I’ll reach for this again and again.
