The material is quite thick and warm so great for Autumn and Winter . It has a slight moleskin feel to it but unfortunately can look a bit matted and the colour not as sharp as it should be. On the second wearing my husband thought they looked ‘old’. A good fit and length. Comfy with a bit of stretch.

Sizing is off
I have these in two consecutive sizes and the difference between the larger size which are too lose and smaller size which are too tight is very unusual. Feels like a drop of 2 dress sizes not one. The quality, look and feel are nice, I just wish I didn’t have to chose between a super baggy fit or super tight.

I have bought these before. I heard that M&S had changed their sizing so bought a size up, which was fine but I should have realised they have also made their trousers shorter - I should have got a ‘long’. Fabric and style are nice. Pockets are, as so often, small.

Very wide

Fit nicely around the waist, and decent material. However, I would not describe them as straight leg, as they are extremely wide from the knee down to the ankles. The bottoms are so wide I debated on returning, but am keeping to wear tucked inside wellingtons for dog walking - not fit to wear for work as I had intended.

Much better than expected for price!
For £28 I wasn't expecting much but these are really good quality. Quite thick and more like brushed cotton than the cheap stretch fabric I bought in the past. Nice lined waistband and smart workwear for the cooler months. I think M&S outdo themselves by not stocking these in branch. Instead of the endless selection of wide leg, I'm sure these would be hugely popular. I bought two pairs and one size fits perfectly white the other is a little tight. If they had stock I would have had a chance to try a couple of pairs on cus they all vary a little.

I ordered the dark blue and the fit is great and the legs are long enough (I ordered the tall and my inside leg is 33") but for some reason the fabric attracts so much fluff they look dirty as soon as I put them on. I wish I'd ordered a lighter colour

The fabric is really lovely, great quality for the price and I like the metal zip rather than the plastic ones. I bought two pairs earlier in a store and like them so much I decided to get a black pair as well

Too small
No, I don't recommend this
These are really nice trousers but the sizing was so far out that I gave up on them. The fabric was a good weight for autumn and there is a good choice of colours. The trousers were a good shape and good length, I bought long as am 5'9". Such a shame the waist was at least 2 inches too small.

Creased!!
These trousers arrived in an awful state...i.e. terribly creased. I can't even imagine how they became so creased, from top to bottom...I wasn't even going to try them on but I would have reordered them if they'd been a nice fit...sadly they didn't fit at all so returned.

Disappointing quality
Disappointed as the quality of the fabric was thin and nowhere as good as similar trousers I’ve regularly bought in the past and the metal zips were poor quality so returned both pairs.

I have bought several pairs of these chinos in the past and the extra short length was just right for me and saved me having to shorten them like I had to do in the past. They are good value, wash well and are true to size.
