Great quality

Great quality skirt in lovely fabric that hangs really well. Really flattering for pear shapes.

A good every day skirt
Yes, I recommend this
I like this skirt, plain and simple and can be worn with different tops, sandals, heels or flats. One gripe though, I was a bit reluctant to plunge because the length of the skirt was not stated. The model was 5'9"' two reviewers who were respectively 5'2" and 5'9" both said it was the right length for them, which was not very helpful! Please, M&S, in skirts that are sold in only one length could you state the length rather than how tall the model is. We are not all the same height.

I am a size 12 and this fits perfectly. I didn't like the belt, so I bought a plaited leather belt, which complements it very well. I have taken about an inch off the length, though, because it is a little on the long side for me and did not flatter (I am 5ft 6in tall.)

Lovely versatile skirt. Great quality & design. Well done M&S we need more quality classic items like this, not the poor trendy clothes of the past.

Lovely skirt
Yes, I recommend this
An expensive skirt but excellent quality, fit and more importantly a decent length for work. Other colours would be great but it will go with most tops already purchased. This is what M and S should concentrate on for us loyal customers.

A skirt that fits!
Yes, I recommend this
As somebody who struggles to find well fitting skirts this was a pleasant surprise! Fitted beautifully and the length is great, just below the knee. Fabric is good quality and its a very comfortable skirt to wear. I originally purchased the skirt in cream but have also bought it in navy now. Please could we have more skirts in this length and the A line style is very flattering too. A winner!

love this skirt

I really like this skirt. The length is just right for me (I'm 5'5'') it falls just below the knee. The waist is big, which did rendered the belt useless. Unfortunately you cant alter its size - so sadly, yet another belt added to the redundant pile!!! (which is a shame as I did actually like this one!) I think I shall get a lot of wear out of the skirt, as it looks just as nice with a jumper/cardigan, as it does with a blouse. I bought the neutral, and would have loved to have bought the navy as well, but my size was out of stock.... hope you get some more in soon.

sensible length
Yes, I recommend this
Although this does crease a bit, it is so nice to get a shirt that does not have excessive material in it width ways but is a sensible length. A bit expensive at £40 but worth it for the sake of not having to worry about exposing my knees.

A Strange Fit
No, I don't recommend this
This could be a lovely, if somewhat formal, skirt, but sadly the fit is terrible. Far too small round the waist, although the fit on the hips was fine. No problem with the length and I loved the belt fastening. Good quality fabric and beautifully made, but sadly it had to be returned.

Lovely skirt

Great length, below the knee (I'm 5'5"), lovely fabric and a nice belt. Just the sort of stuff that Marks should be selling more of.

My favourite skirt
Yes, I recommend this
Having purchased & returned both the Per Una & Classic versions of this skirt, both of which were not a good fit, I saw the Autograph skirt & it fitted perfectly. Not only that the quality is far superior although slightly more expensive. I am well happy with this purchase.

Very big waist
No, I don't recommend this
I loved the quality of the material and the style, but the waist was far too big and there was no obvious way to adjust the waist to fit more snugly. Sadly I returned the skirt.

Beautiful skirt
Yes, I recommend this
The cut is excellent, the belt is a nice touch and the material good quality. I loved this skirt and it is often so hard to find A-line skirts that I brought 3. I did not like the brown colour. A shorter length would be good. I have taken one of the skirts up about 6cm as for casual wear the longer length is a bit frumpy.

disappointing
No, I don't recommend this
I would not call this shape a proper A-line, more semi-fitted. We pear-shaped ladies - and there are lots of us - need a proper A-line shape in a good quality fabric. Knee length skirts, length 25, 26 and 27 would, I'm sure, sell well. There are plenty of older customers looking for that sort of skirt.

A stylish, quality cotton skirt that is well made, good fit and very comfortable.

Funny length

Fab skirt but too long. Hits just below knee at unflattering point. If it was 4-6 inches shorter I would have loved it.

Lovely in the picture
No, I don't recommend this
I bought this for myself as it looked a winner for the summer but when it arrived it was too thick the length was awkward ( too long for me I am 1.75m) and a bit frumpy so I returned it

Cotton rich skirt

Had to take in two inches on the back seam. Then had to lower the back waistband. Now have a smart skirt. Would not recommend it unless it either fitted the person, or else she had sewing knowledge.

Summer Essential
Yes, I recommend this
Nice light weight material for the summer. At 5' 2" it's way to long but wil alter. At nearly £40 that makes it an expensive buy but had vouchers so was happy to do this. It fits well over the hips and lays flat over the stomach , as I'm a size 18 this was a nice surprise as I initially rejected this last year. A very useful little number.
