My skin has always been completely perfect basically. In all my years I have had about 3 pimples total. I decided to try this product since it was recommended to me by a friend and I am honestly horrified at what it has done. I used it ONCE and my cheeks have started to form large clusters of spots and bumps all over my cheeks that are painful, red and large. This has never happened. There is so much alcohol it completely dried up my skin and left it looking like a plucked chicken.

I bought this and used it once and the next day my face was bright red and itchy. It also felt tight and had a weird texture to how my normal face feels. This carries on for the next few days and my face felt irritated and strange.

I started to use the 3 step routine during March lockdown, at first it left my skin incredible and improved my oily complexion so I decided to buy the large sized sizes for all 3 products. Unfortunately after a couple of weeks I started to noticed my skin getting extremely dry, red spots developing and acne on my chin. I stopped using the clarifying lotion and all the spots started to reduce however it has left me with lots of marks on my chin. The clarifying lotion was unfortunately far too strong which caused the acne on my chin and spot breakouts.

I'm really disappointed with this product. I bought this 3 step skincare system full size after my birthday in October after discussing with a consultant. I've been using it everyday morning and night with the skin type 3 facial soap and dramatically different moisturising gel. It was lovely at first and my skin was looking great, however I think it has dried out my skin too much/been far too harsh on my skin as I now have a large cluster of acne type spots on the right side of my face right down to underneath my chin and another random 2 on the side of my left cheek. I've never had so much SPOTS! They are so sore and I thought I would persevere, but more just keep appearing and the problem has just gotten far worse, I've stopped wearing makeup for the past 2 weeks as I'd also bought the Clinique even better foundation so wondered if it was that and I continued to use the skincare 3 step system on its own but it's still gotten worse. I now just have an aching face with throbbing deep spots that hurt all day, it's really affected my confidence too. I'm gutted as bought the items all full size. Please at least try the trial kit size first if you are thinking of purchasing this to make sure it's right for you.

It's such a shame - I did love it. It made my skin feel fresh and exfoliated. I thought it would be my new skin saviour. Unfortunately because it is so harsh, the side effect was my skin became oily a few hours later and then after using it for a week... SPOTS!!! I hadn't had spots and this made me break out badly. I discontinued it and my skin cleared. Then I tried it again with the same experience - amazing fresh skin and then... SPOTS! Gutted. Maybe others would have a different experience, but my skin doesn't like it. It's a shame because I love the exfoliating freshness.

I never write reviews but this is simply fantastic, it does exactly what the bottle says, I love it. This was the reason I started the 3 step routine.

I've been using this product for 6 weeks now and can safely say its the best I've ever used. It's amazing the dirt it gets off your face even when you haven't been wearing makeup. My face feels fresh and I've seen a noticeable improvement in my skin. I was worried it would make my face feel dry as the alcohol content is high, but it doesn't. I use it along side the hydrating gel (step 3) and I am really impressed with the results. I would say using religiously twice a day this bottle will last me 3-4 months, which is worth it when you break the price up.

I use this as part of the 3 step routine and my skin is oily-combination - hands down the best routine I have ever had. I stick to the routine day and night and my skin is visibly in better condition - quality is better, feels softer, pores minimised and everyone comments on how lovely my skin is. My makeup is going on better too. I was unsure of whether this was really worth the money - worth every penny. But you have to stick to it religiously! I was looking for a good skin routine with 30 coming up and I was getting confused with all the different beauty bloggers of exfoliating every day then some advise twice a week - very annoying. Whatever this is, it works for me.

This makes you feel thoroughly clean. I've used this for years and noticed it's less alcohol astringent than it used to be, but still does the job!

I used clinique in my late teens and early 20s then stopped due to not being able to afford it anymore. I treat myself for my birthday last week at the counter and told the staff member that I suffer with hormone acne round my jaw. She told me to get this in 3 and the wash and moisturiser (couldn't afford all 3 till this week). Within a few days I went from having a lot of acne on my jawline to just have a few small spots in total, which are shrinking daily. The only things ive changed are my cleansing products for clinique from soap and glory and my skin feels amazing! Thank you clinique!
