Non non stick frying pan!!

Purchased set of steel shield 4pans. Delighted with the saucepans on my induction hob. But tried to make an omelette in frying pan. Stuck everywhere apart from edge so ended up with scrambled eggs. Used oil. Am I doing something wrong? Lots of reviews seem to say the same!!!

Hello Tricia, we're sorry to hear that this Cookware has not performed as you expected. We'd like to take this opportunity to advise to Pre warm the pan before use without any oil, You can test if the pan is hot by adding a drop of water in the pan, if the water sizzles your pan is ready for its oil. If the pan is brand new we recommend to warm the pan with the oil in to help season the pan. Season the pan with vegetable oil or rapeseed or corn oil. Do not use olive oil as it break down and shouldn't be used. In cooking pre warm the pan on a medium heat for 30 seconds. Then add the oil coat to the rings in the pan just as the oil starts to smoke a little, switch off heat and let it cool down. Finally wipe the pan with some kitchen paper. Bought 2 of these pans just 2 days ago. Food stuck to the bottom despite using oil and horrendous to clean. Bits stick between the rings and difficult to remove. Looks like it’s been used for years! Save your money. So so disappointed !

I bought 2 of these pans in different sizes. Yes the bacon and sausage did stick first time I used them ( very disappointed especially spending all that money) . Washed and put away. Reluctantly tried again and since then NO PROBLEMS!!!!!!!!!! And you don't have to cook on the highest heat. Bear with it. Great pans will certainly purchase again.

The pans have no non-stick function, everything burns to the pan no matter how much oil you add.

Definitely NOT a non-stick pan. Used the pan to cook bacon and eggs (twice) and everything stuck to the pan, even when I used some cooking oil
