Better than expected

I thought I'd try these boots after all if they weren't suitable I could return but I'm pleased to say I was pleasantly surprised at how much I like them. They're comfortable & light which makes all the difference. I took off one star only because I found the long laces a bit of a faff but then again, they are hiker boots so it's to be expected.

Very comfy, look great and fit true to size. Was a bit apprehensive due to the reviews regarding the lace hooks popping out but I think this may be because they're being treated as sturdy hiking boots... they are definitely not hiking boots and I think its a bit misleading that they are listed as such.

Low priced for a reason, quality not great
I loved the look of these boots but as soon as I put them on and pulled laces to tighten them, 2 of the studs popped off...

Love the look of these. However my first pair had to be returned as one of the lace loops broke off. I have a replacement pair which I haven’t worn as yet. The first pair were lovely and comfy and u have no reason to think the replacement pair will also be. Just keeping my fingers crossed that the lace loops remain intact so am keeping my enthusiasm curbed at the moment. As I said, loooove the look!

I bought these today. I have arthritis and struggle with footwear. I usually have wide fit, however these are standard fit and are a perfect fit. And, I love the red laces. Now where’s my rucksack!!!!

I haven't worn these out on a big walk yet, only around the house, and I've been quite careful not to yank the laces based on the many reviews saying an eyelet came off. But I love these so far! Really comfy and look pretty great (I bought the khaki with red laces). They look very similar to a well known brand that are more than double the price. And finally I've found a pair of walking boots that aren't suede or leather - well done M & S!

Lovely design but no grip

The style of the boots is lovely which is why I bought them - I was aware of the eyelets fault but still bought them. I haven't had an issue with the eyelets. However, the boots have no grip. I wore them for the first time for a Christmas meal and I slipped on tiles and banged my head, which I thought was fine but later started bleeding and the skin has now come up in an egg. I should stress as well that I don't drink - I think the problem may be with the heel of the boot, it is incredibly smooth and has no grip on certain surfaces. They may be a hiker style boot but they don't live up to their namesake. I wanted to warn other buyers before purchasing.

True-to-size, and very comfortable. I like to wear a thick sock with them (actually M&S thermal socks) as my feet then feel warmer.

Not for hiking - comfortable but the fabric used for the “uppers” is like a toughened form of craft foam! I took note of the other reviews about the eyelets and decided to return these.

FAULTY AFTER ONE WEAR!!

I bought these boots yesterday - despite reading reviews - and already one of the lace hooks has broken off.... they are going straight back tomorrow. Shame as they are so comfy and love the look of them. NOT IMPRESSED M&S! Feedback please??
