Checked Pleated Midi Skirt

Very pleased with skirt and had no issues with the sizing. I'm 5ft8 and ordered the long length which is about 2 inches below the knee, balancing the pleats perfectly. Ideal for wearing at Christmas with a red polo neck.

Bought this skirt for over the Christmas period and teamed it with a great sparkling top and heels looks amazing on got xx

I ordered this skirt in two sizes. Although the smaller size 10 is a little tight I could not keep the size 12 as the pleats were mismatched one half more red the other white. This made the skirt look peculiar. This is the second skirt I have ordered where the checks are mismatched. What is happening to M&S standards.

I read the reviews from others before I ordered on-line. I am usually a size 10 M&S, but having read reviews that others had found it small round the waist I ordered a size 12. It was not like a size 12 and I would have needed a size 14 to do the waist up! I think the skirt would move more fluidly if it was lined. Shame, as nice idea of kilt style and colours. I returned it and did not feel I wanted to attempt a size 14.

This was suppose to be a new skirt that I have waited a long time for now ,but not to be ,I tried two on in store first I tried a size 12 which is my normal size ,but could not get this round me. The assistant went and get me a size 14 ,I thought this must fit however I could not believe it this one would just about go round the waist but the buckles would not go round properly. So once again no new skirt ,the assistant could not hardly comprehend how two skirts could be so different. Come on M & S I have been a loyal customer of yours for a long time so please get your sizes right all else I shall have to go to another store ,surely it is not to difficult to get sizes more consistent than this.

I bought a similar skirt in green and blue in size 12 and it was big, so I changed it to 10. This skirt in size 10 was way too small, I couldn't even zip it. I bought it in size 12 and it fits perfectly. I wouldn't mind the hassle of ordering and returning if not a risk to have them out of stock in the process. They are both lovely skirts and good addition to the autumn wardrobe but how can the size be so wrong? I never buy skirts in size 12, in fact I have few M&S skirts in size 8. Due to the problems with sizing recently I started ordering items in both sizes to see which one would fit. I don't remember such problems few years before. It is especially surprising given that I believed I buy the same skirt, just different colour!

I bought this skirt without checking the reviews, so when I tried my normal size 8 it was too small! I exchanged it for the next size up and it is perfect. It goes really nice with boots or you can dress it up with nice pair of pumps. Perfect for work.

This is a lovely skirt, fits very well and is very flattering although you do need to go up a size. The colours were not quite as the picture, the pale cream is actually light beige. I got the long length and this looks lovely with boots, I am 5ft 10 and it fits half way down my calf. The fabric is quite heavy and does not seem to crease much. I love the kilt style - well done M & S a decent well made skirt without any frills.

I really love this skirt - such a beautiful pattern and flattering style. However, be mindful of the size of this one. I'm between a 14 and 16 on most of my clothes and own the other three in the similar pleated style in a 16 - they fit with a little bit of wiggle room. This skirt still fits but is pretty snug. Still a lovely skirt though.

This had the potential to be a nice skirt. The colours were lovely and the length in regular very suitable for a short person. I felt the pleats could have been deeper as they would possibly not retain their shape if washed or sat down. However the main problem was that a size 16 would not even meet it needed another 1.5" to even meet to fasten. The size 18 was too large I could put my hands down the waist. This is happening too often and is not acceptable.

I’ve been looking for kilt skirt for about two years but, there were very expensive. And I was looking online at M&S and there it was the skirt I’ve been looking for thank you so much. It fits lovely and can’t wait to wear at Christmas.

This looked a beautiful skirt in the photo but when I received it instead of having a white background like the photo showed, the way it had been pleated gave the appearance of having alternative backgrounds two sections of white and two sections in red, which looked odd. I ordered two on separate occasions and they both had the same problem. I have this skirt in the blue mix which is beautiful. Unfortunately I could not recommend the red mix with white background because of the variance in the shading so both were returned.

I have this skirt in a different fabric which a 10 fits me beautifully. The size 10 in this skirt was a good couple of inches smaller, but loved the fabric and style
