This is a very elegant and stylish skirt. It feels lovely to wear and has attracted many compliments from friends.

Cosy, comfortable and elegant skirt
Yes, I recommend this
Very pleased with this skirt which I just managed to order before they sold out. I have usually worn trousers/jeans since retiring but now I have found a skirt which is not only flattering and elegant but also comfortable. I love the length which falls below the knee and the asymmetrical style. But most of all I love the wool content which makes the skirt cosy and warm unlike synthetics. Reminiscent of pencil skirts in my youth which were usually made of good quality wool fabrics. The other style I love are midi to long length bias cut tartan check wool skirts which I’m looking out for! All in all, this skirt is shapely and stylish and could be worn equally well with heels or leather ankle boots. One last thing, I believe one reviewer commented that the skirt seemed caught up/twisted at the side seam. I think she had probably done what I did when I first tried on, zipped it up at the front and swivelled the skirt round which made the lining drag - not a good idea!

This a good quality skirt however the sizing was not correct. I am normally a size 16 I had to order a size 20 before I could get it round my waist then the hips were huge and then did not hang right.

I had to track this skirt down in store as my online purchase could not be fulfilled. Luckily there was stock locally and I tried the 16 and 18. The 16 was a good fit if a little snug on the waist. The 18 was too big and there was a problem on the side seam as identified by others. The 16 was okay. The fabric looks good quality and this is the best skirt I've had for ages from M & S. why aren't there more good quality wool or wool mix skirts for winter? I will pay £45 for the right quality.

CLASSIC SKIRT

This skirt is a wool mix that I hope will help keep its shape as it is close fitting. Although I'm 5' 6" the regular length covered my knees which I wanted. It looks really smart.

I like the contemporary twist to this skirt with the asymmetric hem and leather buckle detail at the hip. Very much a winter skirt which will go with black, burgundy and white/nude colours.

lovely skirt, considering its midi length, the asymmetrical hem makes it extra long, I am quite short and it almost reaches my ankles. I liked the front details with flap and 2 black buttons. thanks

Lovely skirt

This is a nice heavy skirt. Looks good on although not as generous in size as some. Quality good and well made. I am looking forward to wearing it, dressed up or down.

Faulty

I've tried on 2 skirts in store and ordered 1 on line, all 3 have the same faulty stitching along the side seam. Really love the style but so disappointing that there appears to be no quality control. If Marks and Spencer want to improve sales they really need to get quality control and sizing issues sorted out in my opinion.

Disappointed
No, I don't recommend this
I love this skirt and it fit very well but the designs is odd due to an odd 'lump' of fabric down one seam. I return one thinking it was a fault and ordered another but it was the same. Checking the photo on the website and the skirt the model wears doesn't have this odd seam. Now debating whether to try one last time or order another style

Good skirt

Pleased with this skirt. It is smart and warm and although it has a loose front panel the underpart is generous and so no unwanted gapes. The only downside is the zip. It runs well when not wearing but when it is on it is difficult to fasten. Recommended and even more so with discount.

A very good quality skirt, lined and with wool.As I shop online and had not had a skirt from M/S for years,I ended up buying a couple of sizes before discovering my original guess of size 12 was correct. My only complaint —- a minor one —- is ,as I am only 5ft 3ins tall,I found the REGULAR length too long. I would certainly recommend this skirt. Can we have some more like it please?

Smart Winter Skirt
Yes, I recommend this
I read the other reviews before ordering this skirt and as most of them said that it came up small, I ordered a 12 as I'm normally a 10. The size 12 fits me perfectly and gives a lovely shape. I will wear it for work as it looks really smart and will look good with boots or shoes. Really good value for money.

Check skirt

Have worn this skirt once.Initially loved it as a good fit and quite slimming. However after wearing for a couple of hours one button fell off and another was hanging by one thread. Seems to be a competition on how to sew on a button using the least amount of cotton.

A Nice Warm Skirt without being Frumpy
Yes, I recommend this
I found this skirt to be a tad bit small in its sizing, but as everything else was great, I bought it and will just wear on less bloated days. I like that there are two lengths although for once I ended up getting the shorter one as calf-length skirts don't suit me very well. It is a good, winter skirt with a bit of weight to it for those really cold days that I hear we are expecting. It is also quite modern which always helps as a lot of skirts in this category can be frumpy. I think it will sell itself and the photo is a good likeness of the skirt in real life.
