Castello Bed

I saw this bed on display in one of the M&S stores and fell in love with it. I looked at reviews and they were mixed due to the noise. However I ordered and my partner set it up really well and it does not make any noise and looks beautiful

Was a bit sceptical to buy this bed frame as the reviews weren’t all good hence it being very noisy after my husband put this bed frame together yes it was noisy so we both started tightening the frame as much as we could and at present it’s fine it did take us more than the time stated to assemble but we got there in the end at the moment I’m very pleased with it also purchased the firm matress from you and that is very comfortable too. pleased customer.

We dithered for so long over this bed because of the reviews so much so we missed getting £100 off in the sale. We decided to bite the bullet and I am pleased we did. Not only does it look impressive we don't have any squeaks! It was not the easiest to put together and took us well over the 45 min suggested timescale. The screw heads could have been more pronounced to help with the tightening of the bolts. The plastic rings could have been self sticky but two small niggles. We did make sure that each bolt and screw was tighten up really well. I love it and really pleased with it.

I bought this bed a few years ago. Yes it did squeak nd was driving me crazy but not anymore. WD40 has fixed it. Lift the mattress off and squirt WD40 onto each of the metal joints with gaps. Those metal-on-metal joints are the source of the squeaks and creaks. I was overjoyed because I was just about ready to throw it out the window!!

Bought and took delivery this week, Feb 2021. Quality. Good colour (not too garish a silver colour) and certainly extremely high quality make. Son and I assembled with little difficulty (and I am a klutz when it comes to self assembly). A worthwhile purchase.

I very nearly didn't buy this bed because of some poor reviews. I'm glad i did though, a lovely looking bed that doesn't squeak (if assembled correctly). The quality is far better than i was expecting as well.

This bed is the worst piece of furniture that I have ever purchased! Extremely poor quality, cannot sleep on it as it squeaks every time you move.

We bought this king size bed in the very dark metal nearly a year ago now. I just wanted to offer advice to those who say it squeaks. Do tighten the poles on both sides of the bed, on the top and the foot of the bed occasionally, but we found that MOVING the mattress eliminated any squeak as sometimes this is the culprit. We love our bed and it gives us no problems at all is well built and will last a lifetime and always look great. I hope this helps anyone who has a problem.

Lovely bed ... put together in about 30 mins by delivery men. I had read previous reviews and was slightly worried that it would be squeaky but there’s absolutely no noise at all. An added bonus is that it’s quite high off the ground and I can get lots of stuff underneath!!!

Love the look of this bed, but the slightest movement and the frame squeaks, actually disturbs sleep. Wish I had seen the previous reviews as would not have bought. Tried the standard advice given to other reviewers with the same issue, makes no difference.

M&S delivered and built it for us and the service was excellent. Very happy and zero noise which I was worried about after reading some of the reviews.

I was a wee bit sceptical after so many mixed reviews. We built the bed ourselves after carefully reading the instructions. During construction, you have to twist the top bars in both the head and the foot board until they are tight. This eliminated rattles for us. I love our new bed - it’s quite a statement piece :)

Squeaks and rattles even after technicians visit ... awaiting collection for a full refund

The bed looks lovely but rattles terribly. Awaiting technician to see if anything can be done to stabilise it.
