We wanted a lamp to put near our new ‘reading chair’ and this one fitted the job perfectly. It’s delicate but not flimsy. It looks more stylish than the bigger floor lamps available and it actually has some decent weight to it. It was easy to put together too. It’s not overly bright because of the shade but it looks lovely!

Just what I needed to lighten dark corner. Neat Chrome base and stand match my ceiling fittings and lovely, smokey, tulip shaped shade allows plenty of light with LED bulb. Obviously glass shade is delicate, should be safe with extension arm angling into corner. Foot button switch a surprise, will need to manage access with extension lead. Delighted with purchase, very stylish, especially good value at sale price. Might have liked matching table lamps if available.

No, I don't recommend this
The shade is very fragile and broke when I was assembling it. The amount of light from the lamp with the maximum bulb wattage in it is very poor and I ended up returning it for a refund. M & S were great about refunding it to me, just a shame the light from it is very dim.
