Care- Keep the compost moist at all times but do not overwater or allow to stand in water as this will cause the plant to rot and/or the leaves to ooze sap. Adding some plant food to the water every 2 weeks or so whilst flowering will help prolong the display. During hot spells frequent watering may be needed and this is best done in the morning or evening, to avoid scorching the plants. Reduce watering in cold weather and do not allow the pot to freeze. Remove any dying or damaged flowers or leaves as you see them. Calla lilies will continue to flower for several weeks. After flowering either allow to dry out, remove the rhizomes (bulbs) and leave to rest in a dormant state for 2-3 months before replanting, or keep the plants growing and re-pot in spring.
