FIVE QUICK FIXES FOR DAILY HAIR DRAMAS

HAIR MASTERCLASS

FIVE QUICK
FIXES FOR
DAILY HAIR
DRAMAS

Battling with split ends? Frustrated by frizz? Re-growth ruining your day? Here’s how to style out those everyday hair emergencies

Emergency hair heroes

1 Root re-growth
The fix: With coloured hair comes the relentless rounds of root touch-ups (which – like fringe trims – never actually happen as often as they should). Sound familiar? Reach for Color Wow’s Root Cover Up – a range of eight waterproof tinted powders. Simply dust over hair to disguise tell-tale regrowth. No one will know how long it’s been since your last dye job.

2 Split ends
The fix: The only real cure for serious split ends is a haircut, but you can be a master of disguise – when you know how. Using a Denman Curling Brush, simply curl the ends under while drying. It tucks in ragged lengths so they’re out of sight, and buys you extra time between salon visits.

3 Lank hair
The fix: Step away from the heavyweight hairspray and make a beeline for Living Proof’s Full Dry Volume Blast. With power-plumping actives that are 30 times lighter than standard volumising powders (that’s a lot of oomph, people), it takes hair to new heights, without making your ’do sticky or crunchy.

4 Out-of-control frizz
The fix: If your hair reacts to humidity faster than the Met Office, reach for Color Wow’s Dream Coat Spray. Spray it over damp hair then blow-dry in – its heat-activated polymers form an invisible shower cap over strands and the effect lasts up to three washes. Trust us, we’ve tried it.

5 Greasy roots
The fix: Dry shampoo isn’t always a hair-saver – especially when you’ve used it for countless days on the trot. Instead, start afresh with Bumble and bumble’s Scalp Detox. A pre-shampoo foam, it contains the same micellar technology used in make-up remover to break down product build-up for brighter, bouncier and lovelier hair in the same time it takes to brush your teeth.
