Not for me ....

Thick cream which will not disappear and leaves me with a ghostly white pallor however much I try to distribute it. I would almost describe it as unusable - not what I would expect from Clinique.

This suncream piled up in horrible huge gunk all over my face. Really not a fan of it. Won't repurchase.

Very white face

I purchased this product for a sunny holiday. In two weeks I have used it twice on my face. The first time my friend asked if I was ill. On the second day I spent ages rubbing it in, but my husband still kept calling me Casper (the friendly ghost) - not the sophisticated look I was going for on a posh city sightseeing trip. Therefore unfortunately it is the first Clinique product which I will not be re-purchasing. To be fair, my face did not burn under this cream. Therefore it does it's job. But it really did look so white on my fair skin, which is unusual for a facial sunscreen. However, I have used up the tube as a pretty expensive body sun cream.

Impressed. Will repurchase.

The reason why Clinique likes to use ' Mineral sunscreen' within their products is that Zinc reflects the suns damaging sun rays far more efficiently than chemical ones and is gentler on your skin. I found that this sunscreen certainly doesn't have a heavy white cast like most mineral containing sunscreens and that's due to the good balance with the chemical protection within it. I normally use City Block but wanted something with more superiority against the sun when holidaying abroad and at the beach. I am really happy with this as it dries matte and at the end of the day my skin felt balanced and non greasy.

New Formula...Not a Fan!

Oh, Clinique, why did you have to go and change my favorite SPF 30 Face Cream to this mineral based formula? The previous chemically based sunscreen/face cream was a favorite of mine for years for my normal to dry skin! I tried this new formulation several times, in different ways, but am very disappointed. It does not play well with my other morning facial products (serum and brightening products) like your other formulation did so well. It actually pilled up on my face in different spots, needed a dry wash cloth to remove gunked up areas of this face cream. Then there is the dreaded "white cast" effect that it gives my face...the whole reason I avoid mineral sunscreens altogether...can't deal with that ghostly pallor. Once I removed any areas that were caking up, waited 10 minutes, then applied my liquid foundation, I did notice that the foundation seemed to go on okay on top of it (no more pilling), but that telltale white cast was still shining through. Will use this up (on days I'm just a lonely ghost at home), but will not repurchase. Bring back your chemical SPF Face Cream, please!
