The Shoes That Betrayed Both My Outfit and My Toes
I really wanted to love these red slingbacks — the colour was gorgeous out of the box, the shape was flattering, and they looked like the perfect summer shoe. Unfortunately, they didn’t survive even a single proper outing. The heels worn down noticeably in a matter of hours. By the end of the day, the heel guards looked tired, crushed, worn, and nowhere near the quality I expect from M&S footwear. It’s a shame, because the design is lovely. But a shoe should last longer than an afternoon. These gave up far too quickly. And they hurt, too.

I have these sandals in soft white also and they are first class - look so classy and go with so many things. But the red is too dark for me and more of a garnet red - I was hoping they would be a more look-at-me pillar box red.

I love these shoes, the reason for the 4 stars and not 5 is due to the fact the first time I had them on which was under 5 hours the rubber heel came off and I had to get them heeled at the shoe repairers, I would have returned however needed them for a function, they are very comfortable however and I have now worn twice
