Before Burts Bee orignal beeswax lip balm, I was enslaved by lip balm. I had to apply lip balm or vaseline 4 or 5 times a day, just to feel comfortable. If I ever left the house without it, I often had to buy more while I was out, or suffer dry, uncomfortable and throbbing lips. In summer it was the sun, in winter it was the central heating. I felt I was on an increasing ramp up - the more I used, the more I needed. This stuff saved me from lip balm madness! I have used if for over a decade, and simply apply once at night. Almost right from the first couple of weeks, I have never needed more. I don't even take it with me when I go out. Praise be to Burt's Bees. You should note it is more solid than normal lip balm, and contains lanolin as well as wax. I hook a tiny scrape out with the back of my little finger nail, and rub into my lips. It has a brisk tingle, which took a bit of getting used to, but which I like.

I bought this online and it was a lot smaller than I expected and very hard to put on because it's so solid. It has a very minty taste and makes your lips tinge. I didn't like it being so minty as it spoils the taste of anything you drink or eat until it has worn off.
