Balance Yoga Mat

Pretty good. Great texture for grip. The fabric of the mat seems to look grubby and marked straight away and this being a black mat too. I’m a physio and a yoga teacher so my mat gets a lot of use. Happy with the thickness and overall comfort.

The reviews regarding this Mat did make me nervous to try it but for me it’s great I use it for Hotpod yoga so more chance of slipping and it’s actually great!

I do about 3/4 yoga classes a week, and have done for a few years. This mat was bought for me as a present- and sadly, it’s the worst mat I’ve ever used. It’s stupidly slippery and quite simply I don’t see how it could have been designed by anyone who’s actually been to a yoga class. The surface is shiny and soooo slippery! I almost face-planted on my first downward dog. If it wasn’t a gift and I didn’t want to offend the person who brought it for me by asking for the receipt, I’d have taken it straight back to the shop. It’s made for fashion, not yoga. It’s actually not fit for purpose, in my opinion. I have loads of SB leggings and tops, so it’s not as though I don’t like the brand. But the mats? Stick to Liforme, guys! Yoga mat, anyone? SB - I welcome your response!

I loved my previous yoga mat from Sweaty Betty but they've changed the material. I don't like that it shows up any oil or sweat from my skin as a stain! I can't do child's pose without worrying that my forehead will leave a mark on the mat - this is even when I wash my face just before doing yoga. There are natural oils on our skin and I don't think I should feel ashamed of leaving marks on the mat. I think perhaps the colour doesn't help. I regret this purchase.

So disappointed, I bought it to replace my old sweaty Betty yoga mat and this is so thin, you may as well just use the floor!

Lovely mat!! I absolutely love this mat so smart looking. The mat however could do with being a little thicker as it’s quite thin.

I purchased this half price with my birthday discount ( thank you SB). It's a good size mat, but it would be helpful to have the measurements on the website. My older mat was this size and significantly heavier, so whilst others have commented on the weight, for me it's an improvement. It grips really well and the guide lines are helpful. It is thinner than I'm used to, but it makes balancing easier on the mat. I'm really pleased with it.

It is a really good-quality mat. One of the reasons I got it is that it looks easy to clean and maintain., It is a bit on the pricy side, though, but hopefully, I won't need a new one for a while. Also, it is a lot heavier than you would expect a Yoga mat to be, but I guess that helps keep it planted on the floor and doesn't slide around. However, if you are planning to take it with you to class, it might be something to consider.

A great yoga mat, I use at home for core and strength workouts. Love the colour and rolls up well.

My yoga class is a 45 minute walk away. My new mat is heavy and thin (although it is longer than my old one). There wasn’t enough padding with it being on a wooden floor. I’ve now swapped my mat for the one I use for online exercises.

Have used it for around 2 weeks now and I LOVE it! Non slip, rubber material, I really like the feel. It has a guide line in the centre and guide points for hands and feet which are great for positioning. Really good quality, I’m sure it will last a long time. I’ve also just bought the SB carry bag for it :)
