5.5ft Artificial Black Stem Bamboo in Pot

This artificial 5.5 ft black stem bamboo plant does the job fairly well, but it's not overly convincing. Then again, it's not expensive. From a distance I'd say it's good enough not to be embarrassing, but it doesn't look that real and, despite comments to the contrary in other reviews, it does look very much like an artificial plant. The black stems, for instance, are sawn off straight at their tops, so they just look like black plastic tubes with leaves sticking out. One tube wasn't glued into the base properly on ours and is loose. Some of the leafy stems glued to the top ends of the tubes have been glued with their leaves upside down, so they look a little odd; and because they are glued on they cannot be repositioned. The other leafy stems running down the sides of each main black stem are attached onto push-fit connectors so these can be rotated to an optimum position or removed completely if you wanted to do that. The leaves themselves have a somewhat sad, slightly 'dried-up' appearance, rather than the shiny look of a fresh plant, as if they are crying out to be watered! But the leaves are spread out reasonably well throughout the plant, and this does help its appearance overall. It's not perfect by any means, but for the money I think it's reasonably good value, bearing in mind that you would need to spend quite a bit more for something more realistic and convincing. So for the money, it does a fair job as long as you don't have too great an expectation and don't look too close.

Excellent product at a very reasonable price, also item was packed very well and delivered quickly.

As artificial plants go, it’s convincing enough from a distance and can be gently bent to shape which is a bonus. Better than a very cheap one but not as good as a much more expensive one, so priced about right.

Fits nicely in the space we wanted it for. Sets the room off nicely.

When guests arrive they all ask is that real ?? And I reply of course . And surprisingly they don’t question it !!! I do have to tell them later . So it speaks for its self it’s that good . Thank you M&S
