Very light. Really comfortable. The inner short pockets are ideal for gels. When I placed my phone (which is large and heavy) in one of the pockets there was quite a bit of bounce. My go to shorts when running. I am so pleased with them I've purchased 2 more pairs.

good shorts, however I'll prefer zip pockets instead of side ones...
