Bought these to replace old and worn pants but by gosh - these are NOT the same at all. Quality is thankfully still classic M&S but the look and fit - frumpy! I wash everything before wearing so couldn’t return when I realised these look like some kind of nightmare geriatric maxi brief when I put them on! If that’s your chosen look then buy away but otherwise pick a different style.

Love these shorts. They fit really well, not too high. The material is not thin and flimsy but feels gpod quality and washes well. Nothing negative to say, will be buying in other colours

I love the fabric as I hate cotton, but these are more like big pants in shape rather than ‘shorts’. I’m a size 12, I usually buy 12-14 but would probably need a 16 in these to give a smoother outline as the waist elastic draws the material in too much. Other stores’ shorts sit nice and smooth but these don’t even have the shape of ‘shorts’…..disappointed.

I love these pants because they fit my shape and don't slide down. However, when I went into my local store, they weren't available. I had to order them online at home and then go back to the store to Click and Collect. So, great undies, but please improve the store stocks. I didn't really want to buy them online.

These are Ok for everyday wear which is what I was after. I like that your clothes don't cling to them. I size up for underwear as I don't like them too tight. I am a size 12 but got the 14 and they are a good fit.

I think this type of material is unhelpful for the wearer and the the environment. My search requested cotton knickers, but somehow I got this artificial material which is uncomfortable to wear as it doesn't breathe and feels hot and sticky, which we don't need in these hot days.

As far as I can gather for reading a million reviews, these are the replacement for the old style low rise shorts which I have loved, but now need replacing. These are described as high rise, which they are nit. Admittedly, higher rise than the low, but they sit just below my naval, and do not sit across the largest part of my no longer washboard stomach (not sure it was ever that but you get my drift); perfect. They don’t ride up but that could be because the leg elasticated is quite tight (unlike the old low rise) so you definitely can’t call these ‘no VPL’ but when that is not an issue they are comfy. The quest for the perfect ‘larger’, no VPL knicker (but not the high rise full briefs that come up under your bust) continues.
