39cm Large Non-Stick Roast & Rack

Used the tray a few times, then with the rack for a 5kg goose for Christmas. Used silicon spoons and so far so good!

Purchased this item approximately 18 months ago. About to return it to a store as "not fit for purpose" which, is really disappointing. The problem relates to the feet of the metal rack which, over a short period of time penetrated the non stick surface causing it to peel back and disintegrate. As I use the pan for making gravy, have not bee able to do so for a while as the surface is breaking up. In fact, by necessity, I have stopped using the base pan altogether whilst continuing to use the rack in a old metallic roasting tray. I must emphasise that, I have only ever used plastic utensils and have never put it in the dishwasher.

Very surprised at the good quality. Bigger than I expected and perfect to cook large roasts. Non stick is fabulous as it's easy to clean. The rack sits perfectly and easy to lift food out when cooked. So happy I bought this.

Excellent size and so handy having the rack.

The roasting tray is robust and seems well made. It is also helpful to have the roast on a rack so it can be lifted out easily at the end of cooking, as well as keeping it above the juices. That's what I was looking for. But there is no provision to allow you to access the juices for basting. The last roasting rack I used had a corner cut out so you could get a spoon in to scoop up the basting juices. That could be done while the roast was still in the oven. With this one you have to lift the whole thing out of the oven, lift the roast out of the tray - find somewhere to put it - drain off the juices, replace the bird then pour the juices over. Meanwhile everything has cooled down and the cooking stopped, not to mention the mess in the kitchen. Plus a downside to the tray being robust is that it is also heavy. The handles on the side aren't very useful and in fact in my oven tended to catch on the shelf racks on the side, making it awkward to move when full of a large turkey. Disappointed.

Had to return first one because Teflon started to peel. Although it was replaced the attitude of the staff made me feel very uncomfortable. Have used the 2nd one twice and Teflon has started to peel from around the area where the legs of the rack rest. Will dispose of this one since don’t want more “attitude “ from M&as staff.
