3/4 Sleeve Tea Dress

......... It just needs a bit of work! I'm 5'4" tall and a size 8/10/12 ( truly- sizing can be crazy) Only 12 was available so I took a gamble. It looked like a marquee until I cinched the waist in really tightly, arrranged the fabric evenly around the drawstring, added a wide tan leather belt, tan high-heeled leather boots and it looked great. I would probably have bought an 8/10 if I could, but the 12 was perfect and I certainly don't look big. The pockets add to the style as does the front neck to décolletage split. Sassy and understated.

I love this dress. Great fit and styling. Can wear it casual or smart for work. I have it in this gorgeous blue and in the green. That’s how much I love it.

Bought the cobalt blue on line. I should have tried on in store first as it was huge. A size smaller would have been better except for the length. I am average height and this was more a maxi dress on me. Will have to return.

I bought this in short and was a good length for my 5ft 2 frame. Unfortunately was very big in the body and when I looked for a smaller size they had sold out. There is also a slit from the neck to the bust which was quite low not obvious in the photos and been big on me flashed my bra.Such a shame, petite fittings would have been better thsn short.

Firstly this dress came up on the sale items but was not in the sale. Lovely blue, so deep. Material was fine, well made. Cuffs were quite tight, slit at the front was quite low and showed a lot of cleavage, not one for the well endowed woman. All in all it looked like a sack on me. Would suit someone with less curves.

Lovely green dress, ordered normal size but it was too big so return then no smaller sizes available.

Fabulous dress, but unfortunately too long for me, so will order alternative merchandise.

Looks great on the hanger, lovely colour! On me, no! Thought about going down a size but would be worried that the front slit would gape open. It was very roomy and made me look bad. Maybe if your girth is not much more than a coat hanger it would work!

I am not a big shopper, but this one caught my eye, as I knew I could wear it for many occasions. I love it for work, because it is flattering and doesn't draw attention to my hourglass figure, nor does it look too bulky thanks to the drawstring. The fabric is easy care and will always look presentable without fuss.

I really wanted to have this dress as I loved the style. I ordered a 12 as I am between size 12 or 14 depending on the shape of a garment. When this arrived i was so disappointed as it was absolutely huge. I really wanted to talk myself into it as I loved the style colour & length but the shape was crazy. The drawstring just emphasised the bulk of surplus fabric. I returned to store & looking at other sizes - the one for me was a size 8 ...... ! Please make cut & sizes realistic. On the plus side the length would have been perfect had I kept it.

The colour of this dress is what first drew my attention to it, unfortunately the fit or lack of fit ruined the whole appearance.The top half fitted well, but from the waist down gargantuan, far too large so had to return.

Loved the colour and fabric but found the back of neck buttons extremely difficult to fasten and as I live on my own this would be a problem. Also found the front open front a little gaped. But It is otherwise a lovely dress.

If you are a certain age you will think Abigail’s Party or Margot Leadbetter -get over that and try it with trainers like the model -then you’ll love it ........

Love this dress, I bought cobalt blue in a 10 (I’m usually a 12 but took advice of other reviewers) It fits perfectly. I’m 5’5” and the length comes to mid calf. It has a beautiful drape and an adjustable tie waist. Lovely detail at neck, halter style with buttons at back and a demure front opening which adds another feminine twist. Can wear with anything, trainers, heels, boots, leather /denim jacket or smart blazer. Great addition to my wardrobe. Fab work M&S keep up the good work.
