They are made of a shiny yarn which feels soft but very flimsy. They did not stay up. I returned second pair and bought the other M&S thermal knee high socks which are much better.

I have bought these a number of times and the latest are much better quality than the previous ones. Although they still take a long time to dry. Hopefully they won’t going to Coles like the previous ones.

Warm socks, bought size 6-8 (shoe size 6/6.5), fits well on legs, however did not like feel of the 'rib pattern' on the bottom of my feet but probably just a personal feeling.

Too short and too baggy

I’ve bought several non-ribbed pairs of M&S thermal knee-length socks this winter and they have been excellent (still staying up after numerous laundry cycles). In contrast, these are completely useless. An hour or so after I put them on for the first time they were round my ankles. I think there are two problems - they are slightly too short (I am average height, 5’ 6”) and fabric isn’t sufficiently elastic for a sock. See photo for comparison with a different M&S thermal sock.

Wide fitting not wide enough

I bought the wide ones but they were not wide enough. I wear the M&S wide fitting pop socks (knee highs) and they fit perfectly so thought these would be ok but sadly not.
