Hold ups that didn’t hold up

Wore these for a funeral, managed to get a ladder in one but always carry a spare pair. Put one on and within 5minutes the elastic had failed and I ended up with the stocking mid calf. Had to take both off. Not cheap but useless

I am unhappy with this purchase. Although they look well made, they are not fit for purpose. I have long, slim legs and so I ordered the medium to large, but they only just come a few inches above your knees, which meant they would have shown when sitting down - my dress was just below knee. The elasticated tops are also far too tight and uncomfortable. I have bought hold ups from M&S before and been very satisfied. Unfortunately this design is unsuitable and so I will not buy again. I will also be complaining to customer services as these were bought for me to wear, as a wedding guest. Luckily I bought another older pair with me and so was able to wear them or would have had to have gone with bare legs!

Bought 2 x pairs as I was concerned by previous reviews that one leg falls down. The first pair, one leg fell down to my knee getting into my car, but had the spare pair in my bag so changed - it did exactly the same. Ended up taking them off, a total waste of money. Don't buy

These stockings atre called 'hold-ups' but they do not stay up unless you use body tape to keep them up. Doing that they looked good and felt comfortable - ONCE. They laddered very quickly.

absolutely useless. Bought for my mother's funeral as find tights too difficult to put on but these 'hold ups' were around my knees by the end of the morning. Another £10 wasted.
