Classy, stylish dinner set
Lovely quality china and design. A couple of things to consider.....the dinner plates are just a tiny bit too big to lay flat in a standard size (Howdens) kitchen wall cupboard. The other thing is that the bowls are quite small and a bit tricky to load into dishwasher without overlapping.

This is our second set and, as others have said, it is a little annoying that the dinner plates are slightly larger (and no longer fit in our cupboard) and the bowls are smaller. That said, the pattern is pretty and is both subtle and modern. We prefer the feel of china to the chunkier dinner sets more commonly available and although it’s more delicate, it’s still dishwasher safe and microwaveable, so what’s not to love?!

Loved this design from the start but it was unavailable in our local store. Pleased with my selection, but dinner plate slightly larger than normal, they don’t fit on my shelves and I’m careful when I load the dishwasher. However worth overcoming the size. They look and feel good.

Really disappointed in the quality and difference compared to my existing Hampton dinner set. Cereal bowls are 50% smaller and definitely not big enough for their intended purpose.

I am chuffed to bits with this dinner service. I ordered 2 sets, plus 8 pasta bowls and mugs. It was all ready to collect within 48 hours and is genuinely excellent quality for the price. The pasta bowls are a little smaller than our old ones, but perhaps reducing our portions will help us lose weight…ha ha.

This is a very good quality dinner set. The plates and bowls are a good size (not huge like so many these days!) They are also not too heavy or chunky and can be easily matched with other plain white or grey serving plates. I have bought the matching mugs too. I would like to see more items in this range - jug, gravy boat and serving dishes please!

I was looking for a white, simple China dinner service with a silver band around the edge. All the ones I came across on line were not dishwasher safe. By chance my husband found the Hampton service on the M & S web page. The grey lines are quite delicate and it is dishwasher safe even though it has a silver line around the edge. It is perfect with our colour scheme.

If this is a new set to you, great, it’s a very nice dinner service. Unfortunately, I bought it to add to an already existing one that I’ve had for a few years, only to find that M&S has completely changed the size and shape of the dinner plates and bowls. So making it completely useless to me, unless I buy a whole new service. I can’t help thinking that this is a cynical move on their part to make people have to buy whole new sets and get rid of what they have as there was nothing wrong with it as it was.
