I bought the black which is a joy to wear with good pockets, longer length and a hood. Lightweight so easy enough to carry if needed. I loved the length too. The price was more than I would pay normally but the design and features make it worthwhile. My only complaint would be the fawn strips at the seam, particularly in the hood. I nearly returned it because of this but as I could not find any raincoat as well fitting/good design as this, I kept it.

Lovely coat, it is slightly oversized but not drastically. I went for my usual size & can fit a chunky jumper underneath so it’ll be good autumn & winter. Lots of lovely details - can adjust the hood and the sleeve, remove part of the funnel neck, zips on the side to make it less up & down. Would definitely recommend!

I bought this rain coat in the green colour which is lovely. The coat is really well made and stylish. Some people have commented about the fit of the hood but I found it could be easily adjusted from the well concealed toggle at the back of the hood. Unfortunately I will have to return as I feel it is too long and lose fitting for my 5’2” height.

Absolutely delighted with this coat. Agree with other reviewers that you can go down a size. I would normally buy16 but took their advice and purchased size 14 which fits perfectly and still room for a heavy jumper underneath. Looks really smart so can be dressed up or casual. Bonus was the 20% off when I bought it as it is a bit pricey. The removable hood is also a great idea. I bought the green and very happy with it.

Stylish and useful great combo
Love this coat from M&S/Jaeger. Bought it in black and I would say it’s a generous fit so probably go down at least one size from your usual, poss even 2 sizes. I can fit a sweater underneath so cosy and warm and stylish. Only yet worn it once and not used the hood, excellent that the hood is removable. Side splits suit it very well. Quite light weight but rubberised inside so assuming it will be great in wet weather. Overall like it very much and bought with the 20% discount so all good.

Wanted a stylish true waterproof. I can wear my gilets or jumpers underneath to keep really warm and put this on over the top to remain dry while walking the dog etc. very well made I chose the chocolate brown. Taped seams keep me dry and useful adjustable hood. Great deep pockets to hold phone, pooh bags, treats lead etc. keeps my knees dry as well.

Great quality, lovely stylish coat, annoying hood!
This could be the perfect waterproof coat if it were not for the badly designed hood! Somehow it just doesn’t sit right, when not on your head as it’s unlined it shows all the taped seams and also gapes open, a button and loop or a tiny piece of velcro at the back would have just kept it neater when down. When up, you need to adjust it by pulling in a small hidden toggle and elastic cord under the back zip flap of the hood, it takes a bit of finding but you only need to tighten it once to stop the hood falling over your eyes when in use. I was tempted to unzip the hood and stuff it in my bag but that kind of defeats the object of having a waterproof coat at the ready for the rain! I found the storm flap across the throat a bit of a faff so unbuttoned it - that I shoved in a pocket. Apart from these minor criticisms the coat itself is very stylish, the bitter chocolate brown version which I bought looks really great, good enough to make up for the dodgy hood issues! If it’s as waterproof as other reviewers say it is I’ll put up with the hood niggles, or wear a hat!

Lovely jacket, lots of compliments. As someone who runs hot, it's lightweight enough in these milder months. Agree, some more advanced engineering could have been deployed in the hood to help it stay put in wind; I like the wire frame Barbour put in theirs. Overall, great buy.

Really pleased with this coat - appears smarter than a normal mac. I tested it out in the recent rain storms and have remained dry. It isn’t lined but that helps it be more breathable. It is on the large size and I am a size 10 top / 12 bottom and the 10 is perfect - will allow for layers underneath.

I love the design of this raincoat and the fabric it is made from. It looks very stylish. I also love the fact that it looks great casually with jeans but also works as a smart raincoat. As this is unlined, you will need to layer up underneath for warmth. The colour green is gorgeous. I deducted a star because the sizing is all over the place. I ordered a 6 and an 8 as I wasn’t sure how the ‘relaxed’ sizing would be. I am normally a size 8 to 10 and the 8 was too small, but the 6 fitted me. Jaeger, you need to sort out your sizing!

Grate quality apart from the hood
I’m very happy with this rain coat, the only annoying part is the hood it’s going over my eyes and it’s difficult to adjust.
