Very good book with traditional recipes for all sorts of cakes. Full colour photos for every item. Lots of hints and tips, advice on baking, ingredients and equipment. Bought for a young women who is wanting to do more baking and this should fit the bill. Ties in with the recent trend for "nostalgic baking"! Thanks to the Australian lady who asked me to help her in store look for a book which featured Pineapple Upside-down cake and we found it in this book. Intrigued, I also bought the book and I've made a Banana Loaf, Griestorte with pears and Pineapple Upside-down and all were wolfed down by my various guests.
