I’ve had constant back pain and had to send it back twice for dipping! I had been eyeing up the new silent night gel mattress for some time and decided to Make the plunge and go for it! My gosh, I’m glad I did! It’s so thick - firm but exceptionally comfortable! I’ve had it for 4 weeks now and have slept a dream and my back pain has reduced a lot! Best thing I’ve bought in a long time! Now, how long until bed time?!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Silentnight UltraGel 1400 Pocket Mattress is an absolute dream! I chose a firm mattress and am so glad I did. My partner and I both love how comfortable it is, and have both observed that the firmness allows a person to get in/out of the bed whilst the other is sleeping without disrupting or moving them. I also received two pillows with my order, and they are also of excellent quality, and very comfortable. The service from Silentnight cannot be faulted. I was able to choose a delivery time that suited me, as well as a recycle/removal service to remove my old mattress. Overall this has been a great experience; we are really happy with our new mattress and would highly recommend this one.

For a while I’ve been looking for a good springy, high quality mattress so I was very chuffed when given this opportunity. The delivery was very quick and came on time, with multiple messages and emails alerting me of the time. The mattress itself isn’t too soft or too hard but just right with a number of springs to give you that high quality sleep. It is very breathable and not too hot. As of now, it seems it is a durable mattress however only time will tell. It is also very comfortable and provides a lot of support to the sleeper.

No need to worry, this is a great firm mattress. NO roll together and no disturbance for the sleeping partner when getting into bed after them! This was delivered during the mini heatwave and we did experience a strong smell upon unwrapping, which dissipated over the next 48 hours. Excellent quality and would thoroughly recommend this for your firm mattress requirements.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been sleeping on the Silentnight 1400 Ultra spring mattress in Super King size for a few weeks now, and I think I have got a pretty good sense of it. It’s a firm mattress, definitely not soft or squishy, but that’s exactly what I was after. It feels properly supportive, especially for my back. Since switching to it, I have noticed I sleep better, with less tossing and turning and no more waking up with back aches. Hubby is especially happy. One thing to note is the height. This mattress is thick, and if you’ve got it on an ottoman bed like I do, it sits pretty high. It’s not a dealbreaker, but depending on your room setup or how tall you are, it might feel a bit too raised. In smaller rooms or with lower ceilings, it can feel a bit oversized. Moving it into place was a bit of a mission. It is really heavy,around 50kg, and the size makes it awkward to handle up the stairs into the bedroom. Took two men to get it upstairs and onto the bed frame. If you’ve got tight stairs or narrow hallways, make sure to plan ahead. It’s not something you want to do solo. The mattress is single-sided, so you can’t flip it but only rotate it. That’s fine for me, but if you’re used to flipping your mattress every so often, just keep in mind that this one isn’t designed for that. The mattress came with a couple of pillows too, which was a nice touch. Summing up, it is a firm, comfortable mattress with gel for orthopedicsupport, and it feels like it is built to last. My back feels better, and I’m sleeping more soundly. If you want something supportive and don’t mind the height or the heavy lifting during setup, i would say the Silentnight 1400 Ultra is a solid pick. Just make sure your room and bed frame can handle the size, and maybe have someone around to help you get it into place.

Super super comfortable, just the right firmness as advertised. I’ve been sleeping on the mattress nearly a week now and I have found my sleep to be a lot better and less aches and pains. I previously had a budget pocket spring mattress and this is definitely an improvement

The mattress itself is very thick and heavy seems very durable well worth getting Have been using the mattress just under a week now and must say it’s very comfortable and supportive, has helped massively with my back pain, The only down side I’ve found is that you should air out the mattress in a well ventilated room for the first couple of days as has new mattress smell which I looked up and it’s only off- gassing which is totally normal for most new mattress, overall it’s a fantastic comfortable best sleep I’ve had for a while would highly recommended.

This is the first week of using our new mattress, a replacement for our excellent one also from the Silentnight range. First time trying out a mattress with a gel layer topping. Felt very different on night one, but soon got used to the extremely comfortable and supportive properties this has provided. A useful tip, very pleased we bought deep fitted sheets sized at super king for our king sized bed as this mattress is very deep.

The mattress is firm for support but the gel sprung system allows a softness that supports and eases those painfully pressure points such as my aching hips and knees from my arthritis. It's a deep matress so a little higher than I had but that is easier for getting in and out of just will take a while for sitting to put socks on. The cooling effect of the gel is preferable to my old foam topper. I didn't want to get upbit was so comfy which makes a change as my hips as normally screaming at me.
