The Harry Blouse

I ordered the size 8 as 10 was out of stock, unfortunately it was too small. Lovely blouse & a great bargain in the sale.

I remember the '80s the first time round but was actually interested in this blouse for its Edwardian look. As it was part of a collection, "Archive by Alexa" (selected by a young woman with a supposed eye for fashion) I expected it to be particularly stylish. Boy was I wrong! It looked grim when I received it, having ordered it online. The fabric seemed to be a poor quality and the frills were crushed flat - I can imagine the hours of ironing needed to get the blouse to look reasonable. I liked the detail and the little buttons but they couldn't save this cheap-looking garment. The sizing was also big so it made me look even bigger than I am, with the frill hanging off my shoulders and the sleeves over my hands. Took only seconds to decide it had to go back.

Have been eyeing this shirt up for ages and so happy when it came into the sale but it's short and see through and doesn't look as good as I thought so I sent it back!

Excited to receive but quite a boxy shape therefore looked better out than tucked in. Very stylish unfortunatly had to return as the sleeves were way too long.

This is a brilliant blouse and beautifully Victorian. I always like to mix up my style up with a timeless yet classic piece and this blouse is just that; I know that this blouse will be in my wardrobe for years to come! Being size 12, I ordered that size and it fits me perfectly. The frill along the top of the blouse does stick out a little too much at the ends but I suppose it makes the blouse stand out. I will team this blouse up by tucking it into some skinny blue jeans, navy blue wedges and an oversized bag; maybe a sleeveless jacket too or a blazer. I feel that this blouse needs minimal accessories; maybe some simple studs in the ears. To be truthfully honest, the possibilities of what this blouse can be worn with, are indeed endless. I also purchased Alexa's grey Effie skirt with the pleats after seeing the blouse tucked into the very skirt. However, when I tried the blouse with the skirt, it looked rather like a Victorian costume than a fashionable look; I still kept the skirt for other looks. Overall, I am happy and incredibly amazed at why there are many of this blouse still left in the sale! I am rather disappointed that the light pink of this blouse went out of stock so quickly.

First bought a 16 because of reviews, too big. then bought a 14, perfect fit. Lovely vintage look. Guess what? I tried it back to front and it works but will be too shy to go out like that. The buttons at the back are a total failure. Luckily, my long hands can do them up but I will have to tighten the buttons because they look prone to falling out.

This blouse is exactly what I was looking for and am glad I was guided by reviews as I would have ordered normal 12 but went for 14 which is perfect so it is a small fit. I will wear this a lot - just perfect! I'm a but gutted it is now in the sale at £8! however my purchase has made me very happy and a welcome addition to my wardrobe.

After reading few reviews, I ordered 2 shirts, 1 in my size and 1 size up as many reviewers were complaining about the size saying it was too small. I returned the bigger size as size 14, which is usually my size, fits me perfectly! I love the blouse and yes, it is a bit tricky to close, but not impossible. I love this shirt and I am happy I managed to buy it during the sales. I recommend.

I wanted this blouse since the first time I saw it and it was worth it!Sooo romantic and the fit was great. I wish I had bought it in pink too.
