The seams are straight rather than curvy I wonder if that makes a difference and the filling seems harsher. Am hoping it’s my imagination - I bought three!! Would add it’s still a good purchase.

Slema 05-03-2023 05:23 Too warm for 1 tog I bought the superking Supremely Washable duvet I'm using it inside a duvet cover. So far, I've only had it on the bed for two nights, but despite being very thin and lightweight, it is surprisingly warm. This is in early March during a period of particularly cold weather! Being 1 tog and advertised on the packaging as 'breathable', I was hoping this duvet would permit sleep free of night sweats, but unfortunately, it hasn't. On the plus side, it appears to be of high quality and well finished. I haven't washed it yet, but I'm hoping it'll fit into my 8kg machine and that the filling will stay intact and not come away from the stitching. Note: the guidance is to wash and dry in a large capacity machine (not sure how many kg counts as large capacity). This said, I think this duvet would suit many people, especially if it washes well. If you want a high quality, lightweight, but warm duvet, this is good value for money. However, as the temperature gradually rises through Spring, I think I'll need to find an alternative cooler option. Perhaps the only solution is a non-synthetic filling? But I liked the idea of the recycled, breathable polyester filling and don't want to have feathers or down.

Cheltenham39 04-02-2023 08:40 Far too hot for 1 tog duvet I already have a king size 1 tog from M and S which is perfect, and I now wanted a super king one. Unfortunately I bought the polyester one instead of the cotton covered one, and it is more like a 4.5 or 7tog. I was SO hot! It is no use to me whatsoever. If you want a 1 tog this is not the one to go for.

I bought one single and one king size that can be washed and back on the bed in a day. I haven't used them - obviously waiting for summer so can't comment on comfort or washability.
