Yes there is a bit of whitecast and that is to be expected of mineral sunscreens. Some of us like that extra layer of brightness it adds to our faces. Please don't change this classic formula. There's chemical sunscreens available for other benefits too.

Very expensive for what you get. If it lasts a week, I’d be surprised.

Lousy - leaves white marks on your face, not as described (fluid for face). Gutted as was expensive/

I have just come back from holiday and used my brand new bottle. I have a tanned face and my eyes didn't stop streaming which made my under eye skin very dry, I now look wrinkly under my eyes despite applying night eye cream to try and alleviate the problem, unfortunately I didn't have any choice but to continue using for the week. I do not usually have skin issues or allergies so I'm very disappointed.

It's a shame that this product has got low ratings/reviews. I'm absolutely happy with it. I've got dry and sensitive skin. It's easy to apply the cream, absorbs well and protect my skin all day long from the sun rays. No sun spots, burns. What I really love about this cream is that it improves my skin as well. My face looks so much better, radiant and healthy.

Clinique has a lot of great products, this is not one of them. My skin completely rejected it and I ended up with break outs. As much as I understand that mineral sunscreen often leave a white cast, this was not at all blendable and it will leave you with the white cast for some time. I bought the product mainly for its high SPF, however unfortunately it's not sweatproof and can confirm that I still got a bit red after only 40minutes outside. I really wanted to like it, but I just couldn't. Waste of money tbh

I so wanted to love this. I've used other Clinique sunscreen and found it great. It did not leave a white residue and was not too greasy. However ... each time I wore it (three days) I thought I had caught the sun on my cheeks despite wearing it. I went on a Zoom call looking as if I had just returned from a day working on the farm. The third day it occurred to me that the lotion was causing my red cheeks so I washed it off. Cheeks returned to normal pretty quickly. So I'm very sorry to say that this lotion has something in it that my skin does not like AT ALL. Not for me.

I have rosacea which is why wearing a high spf is very important for my skin. Finding one that does not irritate though has been a challenge. This one works really well for me, no irritation, no breakouts!

I bought this as I have fairly sensitive skin prone to breakouts and wanted something non-greasy that wouldn't irritate. Whilst this product delivers on those criteria, it also leaves an awful white mask which makes it totally un-usable on medium to dark skin.The white mask does not sink in and is still visable under a light foundation. Pretty disappointed that I've spent +£20 on a product that I'll now have to throw away. Looking at the other reviews I can see I'm not the first to experience this - wish I'd looked a bit more carefully before purchase!

This sun cream is amazing. I always get a rash when using any other sun protection on my face. It goes on scarily white but does not leave a white cast on me once I rub it in. It also makes my skin look really smooth. Great under makeup or on its own.

I bought this as I have fair skin. I applied it and it turned my face white and looked dreadful. I applied Clinique foundation over it. During the day it started peeling off and I ended up burning my skin. Very unhappy with this.

Having had countless reactions to sunscreen after sunscreen from horrible, drying and astringent ingredients this is an absolute saviour. If you suffer from acne and/or sensitivity this is the one for you. Totally non greasy, alcohol free and lightweight. I am very very fair and it never makes my face red or irritated and totally protects me from the sun, even over 30 degrees. Initially when this is applied it looks as though it will leave a terrible white cast however as you rub it in this pretty much disappears on me however if you're non-white you may want to try a sample first. The lasting power is incredible and it sits really nicely under foundation as if it isn't there. Absolutely nothing bad to say about this whatsoever.

Doctor told me to use a 50 suntan cream on my face all year round following some sun damage to face and treatment. I searched for some that did not feel sticky and this was the best. You need to rub it in or your face can look pale but I got a sun tan using it and no burning and my face is not sticky.

I bought this product because of the name. I wanted an SPF 30 to use for my face and in a small enough bottle to carry around with me. I felt it didn't absorb into my skin and when I sweated it just just disappeared and found that I was continuously exposed to the sun and ended up being sunburnt on my face. I have tried it on several occasions now and subsequently found it to be an expensive mistake.
