I needed a narrow bookcase to fill a small space as my big bookcase was pretty much full and I buy a lot of books! I saw this on the M&S site,did the measurements and I knew the quality would be there as I totally trust M&S.I was not disappointed, arrived quickly and very well packed.When I got it out of the packaging, I was delighted with the quality and look.Adjustable shelves easy to use.It's quite heavy but very well made,excellent quality. Good construction but split veneer on shelves.

The overall construction and quality of wood is very good. It was delivered assembled apart from positioning of adjustable shelves. Unfortunately the positioning holes drilled in shelves had split veneer on all 8 holes which is disappointing on such a good range of furniture.

It matches our other furniture perfectly. It is very well made. I have two minor niggles 1. the door stop is a cheap bit of wood that doesn't match the Oak. 2. the screw heads are visible.

Well made heavy and well packed. Driver was not insured to help me unpack the bookcase and put it where I wanted, which was about 4 yards from my front door into the front room of my bungalow. I managed somehow. I am single, female and live in a retirement village. Needed new furniture for downsizing.

Bought to 'match' previously purchased Sonoma item. Disappeared from 'stock' for a while so delighted to see it return and ordered straight away. Sturdy and classy looking and although marked as 'self assembly', it came straight out of packaging ready for use! If we were supposed to assemble something, it wasn't clear from 'instructions'. Would definitely rlecommend this item.

We have several other sonoma pieces of furniture which we were very happy with, and we ordered this narrow sonoma bookcase to fit in the corner of the room. The quality is fine but it’s a completely different colour to everything else we have got! Very disappointed with this item sadly. We didn’t notice this until after the delivery men had gone.
