This is a solid piece of furniture. Not solid oak all the way through and like all other oak furniture seems to be, made from small pieces put together to make larger ones. It is done well though and seems worth the money to us at least.

Ordered online which was an easy process. A particular day was agreed for delivery and a 2 hour slot was advised in the specified day on that morning. Delivered, unpacked and placed exactly where I wanted it by the delivery team who were polite and efficient. The coffee table looks good, very practical and is well made and comes with an excellent guarantee. It matches a Sonoma bookcase which I bought a couple of years ago and that again is an excellent product. Indeed I have already decided to purchase a display cabinet in this range towards the year end.

Table is very solid and well made. Bought alongside the sonoma shelves and they look lovely together. Nice features with contrasting colours of wood, there is a slight flaw where it looks like the shelf has small saw mark in it but haven’t returned as took me 4 weeks to notice it so clearly not obvious!!

We bought many items of Sonoma furniture about 6 years ago, including this coffee table and having recently moved house we decided to purchase an additional matching coffee table for another room. The recent table (delivered 11-Feb-22) is of relatively poor quality compared to the table purchased 6 years ago. The glass shelf is much thinner (about half as thick) and relatively flimsy (easily damaged?) and the top is now veneered and not solid oak. Additionally many surfaces are rough to the touch compared to the smooth finish of our 6 year old table. Why I ask? Usually someone has changed the manufacturer/supplier to reduce the cost to M&S but forgot to maintain or even improve the quality experienced by the customer? A false economy as we won't be buying any more!
