I do find it can break down foundation if it is mixed together. It has more of a pearlescent colour, I do recommend more for fair to light to skin tone.

I mix a couple of drops in with my sunscreen / face cream and it adds a natural healthy glow to my skin. That’s me don’t do the day or I’ll use that as my base before applying make-up. I found this nicely hydrating on my dry skin without making it too oily. It gives a nice natural looking glow and makes my skin look smooth. It has no chemical scent and I like you can mix it with your face cream to incorporate into your usual routine.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As someone who likes the Waleda brand ethos, I was excited to try out the Skin Food Glow Serum Drops. Initially, what stood out to me was its lightweight texture, which allows it to glide smoothly across the skin and absorb easily. It’s fluid enough to spread easily but has just the right amount of slip to feel comforting on the skin. It leaves the skin looking glow-y from within and very healthy. I love that it’s made with naturally derived ingredients, just like most Weleda products. Liquorice root and barley extracts help to even tone, while mineral pigments give skin a luminous glow. Over time, I found that my skin feels softer, my fine dehydration lines are improved, and my complexion felt more balanced. This product does have a slight fragrance but is naturally occurring and quite subtle. I do not have any sensitivities to fragrance hence why it caused no issues for me. In terms of usage, I found that drops layer well with moisturiser or sunscreen without pilling. The lightweight packaging allows for precise and easy dispensing. I like that they can applied directly to bare skin or blended into your favourite cream for an extra boost. Whilst I’m not usually a fan of shimmer, it’s clear this product contains some, but it’s very fine and not chunky. One minor issue is that the amount of shimmer becomes more noticeable if too much product is used. If I use these drops on their own, I am mindful of this. Overall — affordable and easily implemented in any routine, these drops are definitely worth checking out, especially for how hydrating and revitalising they are for the skin.
