When sporty is more important than sexy

This was an impulse buy (spotted it online) because I felt I needed something with more coverage than a regular swimming costume. The plain fabric does show the lumps and bumps, which the Secret Slimming doesn't disguise, but the sporty feel of this design should encourage some vigorous activity!

I did! It looks lovely on a skinny model but on my not exactly massive size 12 frame I looked like a sumo wrestler! I took it back. They even described it as having secret slimming something or other, it doesn’t, I burst out laughing when I saw myself, well if you don’t laugh you’d cry!!

Love this style, don't feel like wearing revealing costumes at my age and this is modest and comfortable. Not really slimming as no support in tummy area and tummy protrudes in all its glory. However bra area really good for ample bosom so will keep at half price and let my tummy go its own way. More important to go swimming in modest suit and protect my health. Thankyou M and S.

No, I don't recommend this
I bought "secret slimming" swim wear 3 years ago which I still wear it. It was and still is brilliant but this one cannot be under same name & trademark as not slimming - not tight or stretchy at all! I had to return it. Then, I bought another type of "secret slimming" swimsuit it was as bad as this one. I concluded that all of "secret slimmingTM " items' quality went so bad. Very disappointed.

As I regularly go to an aquasize class I need a suit that was ‘sensible ‘ but still looked good. This fills the bill. I have quite a long body, the suit fits well and hold it shape when I’m jumping about in the water. Dries quickly.

I am usually a size 14, but needed to change this for a 16. It is comfy and very practical for regular swimming. I like the shorts look on the legs as regular costumes can reveal more than you want! Perfect for Aqua exercises as well. I'm very happy with this purchase, the style and quality are good value for money.

Aquaerobics costume

Bought to replace my old swimming costume for swimming lengths and aquaerobics. Amazed to find it is a good fit (1st time). At 5’8 1/2” many costumes are short in the body, but this one is just right. I wore it for the first time this week and it stayed in place and was easy to get on and off.

I have recently joined an aqua fit class. And, as an older lady I am very self conscious of the tops of my legs and my posterior. This suit covers nicely and stays in place during exercise. Perhaps M&S will provide this swimwear in other colours. I would certainly buy another one.

I am a keen swimmer but find most swimsuits too high in the leg, so thought I'd found the solution with this style. It's very comfortable and looks attractive (size 12) BUT after swimming around 40 lengths I realised the shoulder straps rubbed my shoulder blades and underarms, leaving me with a graze-like tenderness. If the straps were designed as crossovers across the back, it would have been perfect. As it is, the swimsuit is useless to me. Pity.

Bit disappointing with this swimsuit just doesn't suit me at all. Made me look larger instead of a slimming effect. The style just doesn't suit me. Disspointed. On holiday now with it but probably won't be wearing it. Would probably suit lots of people just not me

A different fit when in use....

I bought my usual size which fitted ok when I tried it on. Wore it to my Aqua aerobics class, and it appeared to grow two sizes in the water! The legs of the suit were flapping and I had to keep pulling the whole thing down, it was useless to exercising in. Despite the legs it’s not a particularly flattering fit, I guess that depends where the carry your weight! I would try on in store, at least one size smaller than usual.
