Elegant, well made allowing good illumination
Very, very pleased with this lampshade. I have a tall, narrow Moorcroft 50s table lamp of my mother’s which needed a special shade. I have trawled some v expensive sites without success but came across this one from M and S. I ordered it with trepidation as it seemed too small. In fact it looks great. Elegant, neat and gives a good illumination to a dark hall.

Mouldy on arrival

We bought with the green trim and was perfect. Ordered in red and when it arrived the shade had mould on it - little specks all over the shade.

I ordered three lampshades in different colours, I absolutely love them but unfortunately the green edged scalloped lampshade arrived mouldy with tiny bugs crawling on it. I returned it to store and they ordered another for me but unfortunately this also arrived mouldy! Not sure if it’s how they’ve been stored, it’s such a shame because they are beautiful lampshades.

I ordered the navy one, the photo makes it look like it might be velvet although the description doesn't state that. It's not velvet, it's sort of linen/cotton type weave, doesn't look quite as nice as the photos, but for the price, I think it's good. Is quite opaque when the light is on.
