Excellent Product
I recently purchased this Aveda Sap Moss Shampoo in the hope it would put moisture back in to my hair ( I had been struggling for an alternative after my go to brand was discontinued).. I was amazed to find after only 1 application along with the matching Conditioner my hair was so much more manageable no longer dry shiny soft and my scalp felt incredibly clean. The Sap Moss Shampoo has a pleasant earthy smell not overpowering really organic. I,m so pleased with these Aveda products hope Marks and Spencer brings more Aveda items in to there Beauty Department.

I love Aveda shampoo but not this one

I love Aveda shampoo but not this one as I didn’t notice a difference and really don’t like the smell. Not for me.

My hair feels like hair again.

Thought I would try this shampoo as my hairdresser had said how good it was. After reading the reviews I thought I’d give it a go. I have got short fine coloured hair and was finding it hard to get a shampoo that made my hair feel like hair! This shampoo has not disappointed from the first time i used it my hair felt softer shinier and in better condition. You only need a small amount so although expensive to buy it will last a long time. Some people don’t like the smell but its not offensive to me.

Expensive Mistake
No, I don't recommend this
This shampoo has the feel and consistency of mud, looks like mud and smells awful. Made my naturally curly hair feel very dry and a bit frizzy and definitely not hydrated. Used it today for the first time but never again. Expensive mistake as it is now in the bin. Would give it zero stars if I could.

Replenish and Renew Shampoo!

Good shampoo to use if hair dry from central heating and winter. I use this sporadically throughout the winter for shiny nourished locks.

So happy this product is back even if it slightly different from the 90's & 00's version. Makes my hair soft an shiny without weighing it down. Would be great is Aveda brought back the Sap Moss concentrate too. As for the complaints for the 400ml bottle - Keep them upside down. Maybe Aveda should redesign package in that way too.

Beautiful shampoo
Yes, I recommend this
This shampoo gives a thorough cleanse, gently removing traces of styling products,eg volumising gel and hairspray. It's perfect for my fine grey/white hair. It's very rich, only need a 10p size amount; best if rubbed between fingers then applied to hair. I like the fresh slightly earthy/green smell, and find it soothes an itchy/irritated scalp. I also use the conditioner, perfect pairing.

Kind to my scalp which is always itchy after medical treatment. I’ve struggled to find a shampoo that is as good as this.

Long time fan of Sap Moss
Yes, I recommend this
I used this product years ago and it was the best shampoo I had ever used. Aveda discontinued it to my dismay, but reintroduced it a couple of years ago to my delight. It is very moisturising and makes the hair shiny and bouncy.

Very disappointing

When I bought this it came in a cylindrical bottle. It's a non-squeezy bottle and almost impossible to get the shampoo out. I needed to shake it hard and it then went everywhere. And I had to be very careful not to leave any in the shower as it's the colour of excrement. Putting the rest in the bin - complete waste of money.

I have type 4 afro hair with a sensitive itchy scalp and finding a good shampoo that cleans my hair and my scalp efficiently without drying my hair has always been a struggle. This shampoo has been a game changer for me. My hair and my scalp feel really clean after, yet my hair still feels moisturised and soft! And my scalp is not itchy for days!

Virtually impossible to lather

I wanted to love this shampoo, but I really didn't. I have long hair which I tend to wash 1-2 times a week, but I found that it was virtually impossible to get any lather, even when I added water. I ended up either washing my hair 3 times (it would lather by the third time) or using a different shampoo to do an initial wash and then using the Sap Moss for a second wash. Neither methods were particularly efficient, so it's a no from me!

Go-to every day shampoo
Yes, I recommend this
I have been using this shampoo (and conditioner) for about 2 years, but it is hard to find locally and so I was delighted to find it stocked by M&S a few months ago. I have medium weight long hair that can become a bit lifeless a day after washing but not with this shampoo which cleans wonderfully with very little (goes further the more water you add to your hair) and doesn't weigh my hair down. You only need about a 10p size amount and this standard size bottle lasts a really long time - for me, about 4 months, but it will depend on how frequently you wash your hair. Great product!

Dreadful product is not light and weightless felt it did not wash my hair and left my hair flat and frizzy

Scalp calming
Yes, I recommend this
Rather pleased with this shampoo. I suffer from a dreadful itchy scalps & have tried so many brands. My hair is straight, thin and very pale grey! It’s also begun falling out recently (medication, stress, health who knows)? This shampoo does not aggravate my scalp, lathers well (use very little) with lots of water. It looks shiny and healthy after using twice. Not helped the hair loss though.

Excellent concentrated shampoo

This is extremely concentrated so you need to add plenty of water to distribute it through your hair. As all Aveda products, you don't need much. I paired it with the Sap Moss conditioner and I found it really does soften and hydrate hair without the heavy silicone feel. It means I can style my hair wavy or straight, depending on what I prefer. I am not keen on the smell but it does not last.
