Pearl Stud Earrings

Really beautiful pearl studs. Very good value. Lots of compliments!

I bought these because the similar ones (also from M&S) I was wearing got a bit loose and I lost the back studs. The ones I purchased are brighter, more silvery and also a bit smaller which was a bit disappointing, but they are nice. .

The size and colour of the "pearl" is good and of equal size to the last pair I'd purchased well over 10 years ago. What baffles me is whether the plastic cover goes over the stem of the earring and in to the silver cylinder backing or whether the plastic was just part of the packaging. I have only ever had butterfly earrings before so I'm baffled?? Perhaps someone from M&S can answer this? I've worn them at home and they have not irritated my ear lobes.
