Large Crystal Nail File (195mm) & Case

Leighton Denny nail files are extremely good BUT have always been supplied in a hard "plastic" case, which means the chances of them being broken - e.g. in a handbag are very minimal. Now, they have put them in a cardboard box - WHY - it is cumbersome and will soon look tatty which in turn reflects on the Company. You do however, can purchase after you have your nail file - a plastic case for £3.50 plus p&p - which then makes the original purchase more expensive. Think next time I will look for an alternative brand, especially for gift giving!

Great nail file I have used them for years but unfortunately had to replace as I dropped mine on the floor. Pleased to know that M/S stock these.

Replacement Leighton Denny nail file. Unfortunately previous one got broken. Wanted to have exactly the same one. Luckily the new one comes in its own storage box so hoping it keeps it safe.

This is much more effective, longer lasting and kinder on the nails than a standard emery board or nail file but considering the cost, it should be. I am slightly disappointed that it comes in a storage box and not a sheath for ease of transportation. I appreciate there is a travel size which includes a sheath, but like any tools, my personal preference size for ease of manipulation is the larger of the two, and that’s important.

Worth the money, this does last and last (until after a couple years you loose it!). This is one of the more expensive glass files but it does what it says, you can file your nails then wash the file and good to go once it dries. Second one I've bought over a few years because the 1st had disappeared :( I made the mistake of buying a cheaper option of glass files, which were less long lasting than a basic emery board. The coating on those came off with first use. Not a problem with this - cost is more up front but it lasts and lasts. Also kind to nails, fine surface and quick filing.

I already had the smaller version of this nail file, but wanted to "go large" to see if it made my manicure quicker. It did! The longer strokes on each nail meant the nail was filed and shaped much faster than the smaller file. For those who haven't used a crystal file before, the feeling of it on your nails is different to a standard file or emery board, so may take a bit of getting used to. However, unlike the aforementioned, with this type of file you can go in both directions across the nail without causing any damage, as I'm lead to believe it seals the edge. Obviously you have to be careful with it, it's crystal, so will break if you drop it on the floor! It does have a 25 year guarantee which covers "proper use" and I've had the smaller one for at least 6 years, so am not expecting any problems. Keep it in the case it comes in when not in use and you'll have no issues. I wouldn't be without mine (the smaller one will now live in my handbag for on the move emergencies!).

Especially good on the toes as its large and easy to use.

Quality product which takes good care of nails when used correctly - file one direction, dont saw at the nail. Only light pressure is needed to shape the nail. Seals nail end so less splitting or flaking. Best glass file I have had and i have tried others from premium nail brands.
