10 mile hiking boots

I don’t go on hikes often at all. When I was invited on a 10 mile hike in NH I knew I had to get the best hiking boots. Read reviews on a lottt of hiking boots and went with these. Broke them in a little bit but realized I needed more support at the bottom and bought insoles. My feet were so comfortable the whole hike with no blisters at all. Love them and am definitely going on more hikes in them soon!

We hiked 40-miles in the mountains. I really needed new hiking boots and read these don’t need breaking in. I gambled hard because I had no time to break them in. They were right! These were specular! Paired with their socks, unmatched. Over 6 days and several miles of hiking, I can confidently say, these saved my feet and were so amazing on questionable surfaces. To add, I bought another companies socks while on this trip, they were expensive and a well known company specifically for hiking, and these had a hole in them and caused my toes pain. Buying their socks is a great idea and it felt like walking on plush carpet when I had the on in the house. Highly recommend!

No Blisters. More traction?

So close to 5/5. Kept my feet dry in the Adirondacks when submerged in mud. Had decent traction but perhaps could have been better. No noticeable time needed to break them in. I sized up. Usually a 9 in running sneakers, a 9.5 in these fit best.

Wore these on a glacier hike in Kennicot Alaska in the pouring rain. Only thing that came back dry was my feet. Wore them at the Bay of Fundy hiking thru mud on the ocean floor at low tide. Cleaned up with hoses and had completely dry feet. Great, super comfortable hikers. Walk the dog in them for 3 miles every morning. Awesome support and no wet feet from wet grass. Love them.

Comfortable Shoes

These shoes are very comfortable and sturdy on rocky terrain and have kept my feet dry in rain. The shoe fit was true to my size. The only trouble I had was that the laces keep opening up regardless of how tightly I tied them. I hope the company can improve the lace design so it doesn't keep opening. Overall, I would recommend the shoes for hiking over rough terrain and in wet conditions

Safe, Secure Footing

Took my Moab 3 Mid GORE-TEX to a cruise to Norway, Iceland, and Greenland and had no issues with slipping on wet and/or icy surfaces. I did extensive research on getting a shoe with good grip that wasn't a hiking boot but was sturdier than a walking shoe. I felt safe and secure on all the surfaces that I walked, including hiking trails and small town streets. BTW, I had fun greeting other travelers who were also wearing the MOAB 3 Mids!

Took them on a hiking trip to Hocking Hills, OH. They were very comfortable and definitely kept me feet wet on rainy, muddy trails and crossing creeks.

Love these. This is my second pair. The first pair I originally wore for work as a lab and field biologist in agriculture. I also wore them for hiking and being outside with my children. Now my new pair are for our summer outside adventures with my kids. My husband wears them too. Also in his second pair probably needs a third.

Comfortable but rubbed the top of my foot

No, I don't recommend this
I bought these for hiking Utah‘s mighty five national parks. They are comfortable and didn’t require breaking them in. They did leave an irritation mark on the top of my right foot only. I could not feel anything on the shoe that could have caused it. I am disappointed and will need to look for a new pair.

Comfortable and Durable…These fit true to size and have been on my feet hiking each morning with the dogs. Rain, mud and rocks abound, these shoes are indestructible. I will never go to another brand for hiking boots.

I’m not an avid hiker but wanted to hike while in Washington state and these SAVED MY LIFE. I usually wear barefoot shoes so I was a little hesitant but they are so comfortable and so worth it!

Best Christmas present!

I received these boots as a Christmas present. I didn't want to submit a review till I'd worn them for a while. I love these boots, they're very comfortable and they look great. The insole is supportive, the arch supportive is good, not too high. I especially like the wide toe box, as my feet are wide at the front. Plus I especially like the sedona sage colourway. The only feature I haven't fully tested is the Gore-tex and waterproofing, though I've found them fine in light showers.

Fit perfectly. I tried the regular fit first and it was too narrow. So returned those and got these. I didn’t even need to spend time to break them in. Lace them up and go!

Sizing is weird.
Originally posted on Merrell
Sizing is weird for these. Bought these in my usual size and the toes were too far forward and the sole jabbed in the wrong place! Returned for a half size smaller and the toes were way too short! Would never be able to hike extended distances in these. Bummed.
