Moab 3 Waterproof Walking Boots

Returned due to thick sewing seam up the heel and back on both shoes. The "Vent's" do not have this.

Great waterproof shoe for all occasions. I wear it while traveling and works for hiking or dinner.

I am on my 4th pair of these now. As an avid Geocacher I am out daily on trails, bushwacking through woods, reveans and all kinds of slippery rocks! The body of the shoe never wears out! BUT the soles are shot within 9 to 10 months of daily use. They can get very warm in the summer, but that is a cost I am willing to put up with to protect my ankles! I have had all 3 of the models and if you are serious about keeping your feet dry the Gor-tex is the only way to go! With all that said, Pike's peak is the highest they have been.

I'm on my 3rd pair of moab Gortex and 1 pair of waterproof moab . I work out side and need a all seasons shoe that looks decent. The gortex is a must .The other waterproof membrane doesn't hold up as long as the shoe last . I walk a average of 3 miles every day and get 3 years out of them

Boot worked great in rain and mud while backpacking in the Wind River Range. Only complaint is one of the lugs came loose. Merrell was great and warrantied it as they only had 60 miles on them.

They fit perfectly right out of the box - with no issues after a 2-hour beach walk. Today they kept my feet warm, dry, and supported during a rigorous & rainy 9-hour day in the Cascades. Thinking of buying 10 more pair!

Not even close to waterproof. These boots were like sponges, leaving my feet swimming in water. Purchased the Merrell Moab mid boot approx 1 month ago. Finally paid up for the Goretex lined. On first hunting outing rain rolled in. I sought cover under pine trees until the rain let up to a light sprinkle. I continued my hike through wet grasses, sage and mountain foliage. These boots became completely drenched. I had to hike out, get back to camp, dry out my feet, change socks and into my winter boots. Completely not worth the extra cost. Currently awaiting a warranty decision from Merrell.

I gave these hiking boots 4 stars based on comfort and style. My wife and I, and several friends competed in the MammothMarch 20 Mile Hike in Cuyahoga Valley, Ohio. I ended up with a kidney bean sized blister on the laterald portion of my right heel. I talked my friend into getting the exact same pair of hiking boots and he also got a blister on the exact same area of his right heel.

Really comfortable right out of the box! Wore around the house and then went out on a 10 mile hike. Great support and very comfortable. Seems like great durable construction and a well-made boot.

Everyone's feet are different.... I highly recommend to try on different manufacturers and go with the one that is most comfortable. For me literally out of the box they were tremendously comfortable and I've been very very satisfied!

This is my third pair they are very comfortable and good support.

I had my first pair of these for over five years, used very heavily for walking, hiking, yard and garden work; only recently wore out and replaced with same (Gore-Tex version). I also have been using a “ventilator” version for my indoor weightlifting. These are very solid shoes, as needed for my feet to prevent recurrent plantar fasciitis( I wear them with my custom orthotics). My only complaint was that several eyelets tore through from my need to tie my shoes tightly for optimal support (this has happened with other athletic shoes as well).

Bought these shoes to hike in Alaska, had my doubt’s about comfort at first considering i only had a couple days of breaking them in. I wore them on the flight out instead of carrying them in my carrying on and these shoes were very comfortable. The final test was hiking in Juneau mountains and in Skagway. I was really impressed with the comfort ansd stability of the shoe. And lastly my feet kept dry all the time while hiking in Juneau as it was raging off and on and very wet.
