Moab 3 Waterproof Walking Boots

Really disappointed. Bought these a couple days ago, tried them on for the first time and the lacing loop ripped right away. On top of that These were not nearly as comfortable as my chameleon 7. Sad to say it seems like the Merrell quality has gone downhill, been tried and true Dedicated Merrell supporter for 20 years with many pairs so really disappointed. Bummer. Considering a search for a new brand.

Bought the waterproof version for a trip to Alaska. I put a lot of miles on them, they were comfortable and kept my feet dry.

A great all around boot. To a casual walking of the dog to taking on some or New Hampshires 4000 footer there is nothing these boots can't handle. It's a nice piece of mind when stepping into a puddle I'm not going to have wet feet to ruin my day. I have never worn a pair of Merrell's I didn't like.

Great waterproof hiking shoes. Comfortable, sturdy, and provide great support for feet.

Great for everyday or hiking. I like the opening that allows your foot to slip in without using a shoe horn or having to sit down and pull on.

Great fit, comfortable, tough for hiking and climbing.

Boots are comfortable from out of the box! So far mostly short hikes, ten miles of less. Will bring giving them a true test later this summer.

Experience so far? Could have lived without the goretex, it’s crunchy and that doesn’t get any better… and as much as they keep water out, they also keep foot sweat in. 🥵

I have been wearing these boots for years for overseas deployments, hiking and hunting. They are comfortable and waterproof.

I have been wearing merrell boots for 25 years. I'm not sure exactly how many pairs I've had, but this was my fourth pair of Moab 3 GTX. I've always been able to wear them to hike right out of the box. They have always been the most comfortable boots I've ever worn. I bought this latest iteration because they improved the outsole by giving them more of a lug pattern for better traction. I went for a short hike in them today and I could not believe how incredibly uncomfortable they are. It feels as though there is no cushion/shock absorption at all. I have never experienced this with any hiking boots I've ever worn. It was like walking barefoot on concrete. My feet hurt so bad, I couldn't wait to get down so I could take them off. I'm extremely disappointed, as I have been talking up merrell for two decades. I don't know if merrell sells factory seconds or factory rejects, but something is definitely wrong with this pair. I would like to return them, but unfortunately, it's too late. Merrell, what happened?
