Moab 3 GTX Suede Walking Shoes

My first pair of Merrill’s- Took them to lofoten islands in Norway- They worked great for the midnight hike, the stroll around the lake, hike up the stairs, and the scramble up to the peak. Once I figured out how to tie the laces to keep my toes from sliding forward going down hill… all was good!! No blisters, shoes were comfortable from the first step.

Perfect for what I need .... and more. I need a secure, supporting shoe that won't allow my feet to 'roll' sideways. I need a shoe that is comfortable and lighter than a boot. I need a shoe that has secure footing (hopefully a Vibram, which it does). I need a shoe that is basically waterproof on the bottom and repellent on the top.

Took these to a rainy destination and they didn't disappoint! Handled mud, rocks, steep inclines/declines, cobblestones and kept my feet dry and comfortable. A little heavy, but not a dealbreaker. I did add my own arch supports.

Love them great shoe fit is great very comfortable on the trail.

These shoes are very comfy and snug until break them in and they’re made well with quality and they look really good with everything I wear they have excellent grip on the ground too plan to buy another pair after I wear these out

I've been buying Merrels, both conventional and true boots, for 12+ years. They're still some of the most comfortable shoes I've ever had, even brand new. Shame my feet like to be problematic, but it's always been quick and simple to get shoes shipped to and back, if not especially fast. Or I'm just impatient.

My old hiking boots wore out on a recent trip so I purchased the Moab 3. This shoe is so comfortable with padding in all the right places. I purchased this shoe and the higher top version Moab 3, and decided to keep the high top version. I could have easily gone with these but opted for more ankle support. I sized up a half size to allow for thicker hiking socks.

I like the shoes. Toe box is comfortable. I ordered a half size larger than usual. The only complaint is that they are the Gore Tex model and my feet got somewhat wet while walking my dog during a rainstorm. Merrell also offers a waterproof version but it’s not what I have.

I have owned several pairs of these shoes. They are very comfortable but their consistent flaw is that the Gore-Tex waterproofing last for only about a month of regular use. I have found that the basic waterproofing in the Moab 3 Waterproof shoes lasts a little longer (although still not very long).
